Springwood

Once again, we enjoyed our stay at Springwood. My only regret is that we never found this place until last year. Our return visit was very enjoyable a fabulous cooked breakfast, clean room, amazing balcony views, this year room 1, and free onsite parking. Marian and Ian are splendid host who know the area so well. We have stayed in Northumberland on many occasions, and this is by far the best hotel/ B&B room we have had. Looking forward to another visit next year. Book restaurant meals in the local area, Bamburgh and Beadnell well in advance.

Hubby & I stayed 3 nights in room 2 The Dunstanburgh. Room 2 is large & bright with the comfiest superkingsize bed, pillows, crisp white cotton bed linen and towels. The bathroom had a bath with an overhead rain shower. I enjoyed bubble baths while my hubby preferred the shower. (Despite it saying toiletries included there was only hand wash so take your own, we were pleased we had done) The breakfasts were delicious , something for everyone and all cooked fresh to order with very good quality products. The panoramic view from our room and balcony was of fields of horses & sheep across to the sea and Dunstanburgh Castle and it was silent ensuring a perfect nights sleep. We were pleased we chose this B&B as we had free parking on site & it was an easy flat 15 minute walk to Seahouses. Seahouses was madly busy so make sure you book restaurants in advance. It was lovely after hectic day exploring to return to the peace and tranquility of our room. (Be aware you aren’t allowed to check in outside the hours of 4 to 6pm. We arrived at 3pm: on arrival nobody answered the door so we phoned & the lady said we could leave our car but wouldn’t let us in to drop our bags or use the loo so we had to quickly leave & drive into Seahouses to find public toilets. It wasn’t a good first impression but thankfully our experience improved when we returned at 4pm)

Lovely B&B on the edge of town with stables and stunning views. Lovely comfortable room with good bed and great shower. Breakfast was lovely with generous portions and our hosts were warm, welcoming and friendly. Would definitely return!

Wonderful relaxing trip in excellent accomodation. We had the super king room with the sea view balcony Chilly in June but we sat out with our jackets on to enjoy the atmosphere and view. Hosts were lovely, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend and we certainly hope to return.

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights at Springwood this week and I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough! We are well travelled and have stayed in 5* hotels across the world but the service which was provided at Springwood is second to none. We stayed in Room 3 which was so homely, had a balcony overlooking the stables and had every amenity you could ever want. We loved the thought which had gone into every detail. The room, en suite and communal areas were spotlessly clean. A great location which is about 10 minutes walk from Seahouses seafront and is on the bus route from Bamburgh if you wanted to spend the day there. The breakfast was a solid 10/10, and has certainly set the bar for other breakfasts to live up to! Already planning our return trip - thank you very much Ian, can't fault a thing!

Not our first visit and certainly won't be our last. Ian and Marion are wonderful hosts, the rooms are amazing, the location is peaceful and Ians breakfasts are delicious. Could not find fault with anything. Highly recommend.
