The staff is very helpful, she asked me where to go when checking out, she told us the road is being blocked for our next next station. So that we can change our itinerary anc book another motel, otherwise our trip will be in a mess. The motel location is good, only the walking distance can reach the town center and the beach. However the motel is quiet, we can hear the bird sound to wake us up. But pls note that the motel do not provide toothpaste and toothbrush, remember bring them by yourself.

Nice location, all money is valued to its location. The room had no air conditioning, room was generally clean, bathroom like the showering place was just ok, the room had a weird smell (like something left wet for a long time). The fan in the room was dusty. The fan in the bathroom takes a while to be silence as it’s attached to the light switch, cant even being bothered turning on the bathroom light during the night. The breakfast buffet was ok… coffee are from the machine, didn’t like it. Scrambled egg was almost like smashed eggs, bacon was hard to cut.

The self-driving trip from Christchurch to Greymouth lasted until very late, and we went to Pancake Rock and West Piont, a nearby 1-hour drive. After checking out the accommodation, this one suited our requirements better, so we decided to drive a little longer. Hokkitika, it was already past 11 o'clock when we arrived at the hotel. The room is really clean. It was newly renovated during our 2025 stay. with all the fire station items, it really make our stay interesting. One of a kind indeed.
