We have spent a wonderful night at Skalatjorn Guesthouse. It's located in a very quiet and beautiful area. It offers you a whole fully furnished apartment in a marvellous environment! Private bathroom, huge living room with a small kitchen as well, free parking and nice view from your window! What a lovely place. Every afternoon you have the chance to cuddle and now the sweet Icelandic goats that the owner is trying to look after and protect very passionately. We really suggest it! Well done!

This is a special place! What a treasure to stay at a peaceful farm and enjoy the adorable and friendly goats. We stayed in the family apartment, which had everything we needed and the best window shades (for blocking the midnight sun) we encountered on our whole trip in Iceland. Don't miss the goat tour at 6 pm each day, which is included for guests. We appreciated learning about Icelandic goats and helping support their protection. Selfoss was a quick 20-minute drive for groceries or dining out. Helena recommended Krisp, which was our favorite meal in Iceland.

This is a barn conversion in a separate property to the hosts. When you drive to the main house you are met by the owners, their cat and dog and we stayed for a nice chat. The rooms are accessed across the field from them, right next to the goats. The room was basic and functional with everything we need in the kitchenette and a huge bathroom. We really enjoyed the goat tour and found Helena to be really kind and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Iceland. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. It was convenient to Selfoss and easy to get to. The guesthouse is about 100 meters from where the owners stay. Need to pick up the key there. The goats and cat are cute.

Helena was brilliant host. Tour was super fun, and also we learned about Icelandic goats. We enjoyed visit, and kids really liked playing with goats. Our daughter made immediate connection with little Freyja. Totally recommending for everybody

Highly recommended! Helena and Stefan are excellent hosts and have a wonderful guesthouse. The design and quality are fantastic and they were kind enough to give us a tour of the goats and their conservation efforts. The goats are very friendly and worth the stop to meet! We planned our stay as a stopover between the South Coast and Golden Circle and can't wait to come back soon! Takk Helena og Stefan!

Una bella guesthouse, in mezzo alla natura e abbastanza lontano dal traffico. Appartamentino molto piccolo, bisogna un pò abituarsi a cucinare a 1/2metro dal letto, però super relax. Lo dicono anche i proprietari, prima di arrivare lì assicuratevi che avete il cibo.
