Hotel Alpenroyal - the Leading Hotels of the World

My initial booking at Alpenroyal was between 06 December to 18 December, 2024. But come September, I wanted to shorten my stay to 4 nights, from 14 December to 18 December, 2024. For that modification of shortened stay, Alpenroyal forfeited all my 900 Euro down payment deposit. Because an appointment already been made earlier with my regular fellow skier friends and their family to meet in Alpenroyal between 14 to 18 December, I have no alternative but to pay 500 Euro new down payment to stay the 4 nights. I have been meeting and getting together with these 3 families every December in Alpenroyal since 2016, except during covid times. I must highlight to all potential guests who are considering staying at Alpenroyal that I am a 6-Time Returned Guest of this hotel. Yet Alpenroyal gave me zero consideration in guest loyalty. Alpenroyal did not want to consider returning even 1/3 of my down payment. Note that my stay in their hotel was not cancelled. The date was merely modified. It was shortened from 12 nights to 4 nights within the Same Booking Period, which is 1/3 of my initial stay. I eventually spent another 1,614 Euro + 112 Euro during the 4 nights, much to my chagrin. Thus, if you decided to pay any down payment to Alpenroyal, please be alerted that you will not get any of it back. Please read this hotel cancellation terms before committing your payment to them. The other hotels in Dolomites offer 30 days free cancellation, but not Alpenroyal. Down payment to Alpenroyal is non-refundable and the owner of the hotel is very adamant about it as you can see from my experience. Having lost 900 euro even as a regular guest, I certainly would not come back to this hotel. After sharing with my 3 friends and their family how Alpenroyal conducted their business hospitality, all of us decided to explore other hotels in Selva Val Gardena, Ortisei and Colfosco next winter.

I wanted to thank everyone and everything for the holidays that were unforgettable for me and my family, I really have no words. Room was wonderful, Sauna top, pool was great, bar every night with live music, 5 star food, restaurant staff all kind (especially a greeting especially for Shukri, he is busy every night to do service for us, that really people like Shukri are rarely found, he was polite, respectful, and was attentive to every detail of service, thank you very much Shukri). Despite a few imperfections (the cocktails were overpriced, lol), this was a special place to stop for a few days. The pool is SO MUCH FUN. I also really enjoyed the gym. It was big, lovely to be in, and well stocked. We had dinner in both restaurants and actually enjoyed the simpler one more. It had a KILLER salad bar, easily my favorite meal of a week+ trip. Breakfasts are delicious, too. No regrets!

This is a very pleasant hotel. It does not have quite the same levels of luxury the other five star hotels in the Alps have, hence my rating / but perhaps is also a little cheaper. All the staff are very attentive and helpful. Eg, when I lost my phone, they spent a good amount of time actively looking for it. The outside pool is heated well and fun. Live piano music in the bar every evening was fabulous. The adult only spa is very nice, but only open from 4 pm until 8 pm - this is a short time window compared to many other Alpine spa hotels. Breakfast is very good, but not the best I’ve had in the region. The pastries and cakes do not seem to be home-made. The selection is good but not as a enormous as I have seen in others. Eggs are cooked to order, but poached egg is €6 extra! I have never seen that in a five star hotel - I think they would be better not to offer it at all than charge for it. Other minor niggles: the key activates power to the room including the sockets, so you cannot leave computer et cetera, charging when you go out. And the WiFi transmitters are in the hall not the rooms meaning WiFi is weak in the rooms. No powers sockets next to the bed (or there is but the bedside lamp uses it).

We LOVED everything at Alpenroyal! Wonderful staff - friendly, professional and accommodating, very responsive to questions, pre-arrangement requests and anything we needed. Perfect location - Selva and nearby Ortisei are lovely towns, can walk to Col Raiser cable car for gorgeous hikes to Seceda and many beautiful rifugios, as well as other nearby cable cars and hikes that we didn’t have time to do. Spectacular property & spa - mountain views, luxurious but also authentic feeling, perfect place to be pampered and relax after hard hikes, great massages and sauna world is beyond! Dreamy rooms - our family of 8 was put in 4 junior deluxe suites right next to each other that all opened to the pool - amazing and so worth the price. Fabulous food - we got breakfast only which was plentiful and delicious with great variety, also had a yummy lunch our arrival day at the bistro and a great dinner at Le Steuben. We did not try the gourmet restaurant. We’ll definitely return to Alpenroyal!!

We enjoyed the service that Raffael and Rafaelo gave us and how much they care about the clients and We all wish them a great luck and we hope to see them mangers at the hotel Again they are a very professional workers and they have a great future at the hotel business
