This is probably the worst Japanese inns I've stayed in. The food is pitifully meager, basically a few plates of pickled vegetables + 1 small dried fish, rice, noodles and black bean soup. The old lady who looks like the proprietress has a bad attitude, with a dark face, rough voice and is annoying. Sigh... It's not worth it to pay for it. I don't recommend it!

Dafu has a great location, beautiful scenery, good spring water, and acceptable food. The only regret is that the reception is not warm enough. But considering that the owners are two elderly people, I think it is understandable and give it a good review.

Friendly staff, slightly old facilities, better options than other hotels, simple dishes made with local ingredients for dinner and breakfast, much better than expected

This time I visited Nyuto Onsen for the second time in winter. The hotel I stayed in this time was very cozy. The staff there were all elderly grandparents who could communicate in simple English. The breakfast and dinner were simple but delicious.

The location is quiet and there are trails nearby where you can take a walk. The location is good.
There is no toilet in the room, which is inconvenient. The building is a traditional wooden house with a retro style, but the floor will make noise when you walk on it, which can easily disturb guests.
Breakfast is a bit simple and could be richer
