Embalakai Authentic Camp

What a great place to stay in the Serengeti. The tents/rooms are nicer than many hotel rooms with very soft linens and pillows and well appointed bathrooms. We had 2 tents, one with a king and one with a king and double for our kids. Being a tent, showers were a bit long as you wait for the hot water to reach you. The views from the rooms was amazing. The baboons walk by every evening to get to their perch in the trees. Once the sun goes down, you need to have an escort to get to/from the dining hall....and for good reason. One evening (see photo), there was a leopard watching us have dinner. Another evening, there was a hyena in the parking lot. You can hear the baboons, lions and other animals throughout the evenings as well. The food was great with many made to order parts like pasta in the evening and eggs in the morning. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My daughter became ill and while we were having dinner, many of them stopped by to check on her to see if she needed anything. Definitely an experience you should have while on safari in the Serengeti.

The meals are delicious, the staff are very friendly. We spent happy days and nights. If you wish to visit Serengeti you must come to Embalakai to live such a good experience as we had. The Embalakai authentic camps have very tasty dinner menus every night. The staff team made sure we were taken care of, and accommodated every request we had, and they are very knowledgeable about the area, animals, and geography of Serengeti. It was a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget.

What an incredible experience. This Campsite is 5 stars with great tents & indoor bathrooms, great view with wilder beasts, impalas, near the rooms and the food is excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would highly recommend using Embalakai Authentic Camps as you park Accommodation.

Great place, wonderful and kind people made sure we felt comfortable and that we didn't lack anything, the place is neat and clean, the rooms have an amazing view, the food is great and very tasty, they customized the food for us! An amazing experience.

Embalakai was a very good option. Note: use recent pictures and reviews...the rooms are upgraded! Super calm, very clean and organised. The staff is attentive and non-intrusive. You can have easy evening and relaxed early breakfast. The Maasai will walk you and guard the area from sun's set to sun up... the lions and hyenas calling overnight. You hear nature all the time! The room is comfortable and private (beyond any expectation). The location makes all park landscape areas of easy reach. Food is amazing (vegetarian speaking) and be aware your every meal is prepared by them (the lunch food is also what they give). I would recommend low season and 3-4 days. You see all animals and birds without stressing around. Ask driver to go out early and move slow. Animals show up in all sorts of places.

Awesome place to stay, the staff is very welcoming, enthusiastic and helpful, the tents have all you can need, the food is great and you may have a nice surprise at the end of your dinner 🤗 WiFi is available and good in your tent and main areas, which is very appreciable in the middle of Serengeti ! Special mention to the Masai security, Mateo and Rakanja are the best and we really enjoyed our talks by the fire 🔥
