good location, just a pity that the road in front of the hotel was being renewed during my visit. hotel has friendly staff, every weekend there is a party in the restaurant by locals, which continues until midnight. You can also arrange a tourist ride in the hotel via Yankuba. Breakfast is standard but good for Gambian standards. the room is nice and cool and has a fridge and nice shower. I enjoyed 2 weeks. Tip : make a round prices at hotel and restaurant like 150200/250. Becouse they have not change when you charge 320/545/145. I give tip when i want .

hotel was very good. Staff is friendly and helpful. it is a lively hotel with a lot of music on the weekends. pool is clean and not too warm thankfully. bar is adequate, menu is nice, but on the expensive side for a 2 star hotel. prices have gone up considerably after the pandemic. one should not exaggerate. Furthermore, you have to take into account that people have almost no change, so you automatically pay a tip. you can rent your own fridge and fill it with drinks. in addition to the hotel, there are also excuses possible. you can also rent a safe. there are tourist taxis available at the exit. Please note that the road is under construction at the moment

The most accommodative place, if there is anything wrong they're quick to fix it. Lovely staff, we go several times a year and its always like going home! Can't wait to head back. Friendly, welcoming place.

I go to Gambia frequently and like to have a hotel on first night to ensure I have a meal and am properly hydrated. I love this place - I have never needed to book. It is an African Hotel to the extent that the rooms are spartan but the hotel service is good and the pool bar serves the coldest beer in Gambia.The restaurant is only ok. Customer service is poor - and there is 'no change' . The food is quite good and the Afra is nice. Some of the restaurant staff have ben there too long. Breakfast is good and at 300GMD well priced. There is a cohort of long stay guests which is nice to see. Well placed for the beach.

It was my first time at the Baobab Gambia. It's actually a lovely hotel, but I'll never go back in August because the season hasn't started yet and every day from 2 p.m. lots of mothers and children come and use the swimming pool in a great atmosphere. The hotel management's explanation is that they need the income. What's much worse is that every evening there's a very, very loud disco for the public at the swimming pool, sometimes until the early hours. Sleeping is only possible with tablets - I even had to get more from the local pharmacy.

Een heel gemoedelijk hotel met uiterst vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt is prima, spiegeleieren, omelet, pancakes, gekookt ei, oliebollen en noem maar op. De ruime kamers beneden zijn perfect, heerlijk aan het zwembad gelegen. De menukaart is top, de lunchkaart bestaat uit een stuk of 12 heerlijke gerechten, zelfs brood met kroket ontbreekt niet. De dinerkaart is geweldig met ruim 35 gerechten waar de Garnalen in broodkruimels de absolute top zijn. Heerlijke espresso encapucino aan de bar en sinds kort ook verse Jus Dòrange met Lime te verkrijgen. De wifi aan het zwembad is prima te doen. Taxi`s zijn er ook in overvloed tegen scherpe prijzen, voor nog geen 5 euro zit je op de bekende ***** met tal van restaurants en alle gezelligheid. Deze drukte hoeft voor ons niet, wij genieten hier heerlijk aan het zwembad. Geld wisselen kan hier ook tegen respectabele koersen, of je wisselt op de straat, het wemelt hier van de wisselkantoren. Al met al een heerlijk hotel om te verblijven, zeker de moeite waard als je Gambia aandoet.
