Andaz Hotels in Shanghai

I am very happy with my first stay in Crowne Plaza Hotel. The Premier Twin room was very new and clean. Location was good as Nanjing Road pedestrian mall was behind and a few minutes walk to People Square metro station. Good breakfast buffet spread with chinese and western selection. There is a chinese restaurant adjoining the hotel called Sunya and it serves good dim sum and chinese food.

Our family had stayed 2 rooms for 3 nights on the 27-30, Dec 2024. Our stay were memorable and amazing. The rooms were so clean with very nice view, the breakfast line were delicious and has many variety of food both western and Chinese. The staffs were the most impressive, they could speak very good english and very friendly. The duty manager is very helpful too. I forgot the souvenir which was the Chinese embroidered traditional fan and just realized when I got back home, the duty manager was very enthusiastic and putting a lot of efforts in getting the forgot item back to me. Thank you so much, I’m really impressed and highly appreciated your hard work and kindness.

I was surprised with the services and attitude of the people. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Smiling faces all the day and I felt so warm~ MOST IMPORTANT , the LOCATION is so so so NICE！ 南京步行街 is just 3 minutes walk away. all the famous shopping mall and stores like M&M, KINISO, POP MART are all not more than 15 minutes walk away. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION is around 5 minutes away as well.

48 hours in Shanghai and the pedestrian street area was good. Traffic in Shanghai pretty tough, but subway not far. Holiday decor was nice, and bed comfortable. Bathroom supplies at front desk and service was good. Hotel is nice and historical. Not best view for twin room Floor 4, but cost is good. Sugar for tea was needed, and I think an updated elevator. Hours for cafe not so often.

Additionally, the team assisting with my luggage demonstrated unmatched proactivity, courtesy, and efficiency. I must extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Wang Ji and Mr. Zeng Zheng Hao, whose exemplary service truly stood out. They not only ensured my belongings were handled with great care but also addressed all my queries thoughtfully and thoroughly. Their outstanding performance made me feel the genuine warmth and care that define your hotel’s exceptional hospitality. The collective efforts of your team reflect an extraordinary commitment to delivering top-tier service. Their professionalism, sincerity, and smiles have left a lasting impression on me, and I can confidently say this is the best service I have ever experienced. One of my favorite hotels in Shanghai is Pullman Shanghai Jingan. I visited Shanghai three times in 2024 and stayed in various hotels, including both local accommodations and international hotel chains. I would say that Pullman Shanghai Jingan is ideally located for travelers who commute by train and want to stay in the heart of the city while avoiding the crowds of Nanjing Road. The breakfast was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. This is a 5-star hotel, and it truly lives up to its rating. As for the amenities, you need to request them at the front desk. Once requested, they are promptly provided. I would definitely return to this hotel if I visit China again.

The location of the hotel is fantastic and highly convenient. However, it seems the hotel lacks sufficient experience in accommodating families. As a family of three, we requested an extra bed for our room but were disappointed to learn that none were available. After three nights, we were informed that beds had become available, but upon returning to our room, no bed was provided. This highlighted a significant communication issue among the staff. On a positive note, the hotel staff (especially the manager in service department) took responsibility for their mistakes, offering sincere apologies and compensations such as a room upgrade and complimentary lounge access. I appreciated their efforts to address the situation and make amends. Eventually, we did receive the extra bed during the final nights of our stay, provided free of charge as part of their apology. While I understand that mistakes can happen, I hope the hotel improves its internal communication and service delivery. With its excellent location and amenities, it has great potential to cater not only to business travelers but also to families seeking a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

During our stay at the Shanghai Kempinski, the hotel staff May Xiong & Billy Du both went above and beyond expectation. They would always greet us and ensured that our experience felt just like home. From the moment we checked in, every member of the front desk was welcoming and responded really quickly to all our inquiry’s or requests. The housekeeping team did an amazing job of keeping our room clean and comfortable throughout our stay. We really appreciated their attention to detail and the extra care they put into making sure everything was perfect. Overall, I would definitely consider coming back to this hotel during my visit in Shanghai. Hotel is at a good location, close to metro and the bund. Walkable distance to food areas and shuttle to the airport. There’s also a kitchen where you can cook if you want some clean food at home. We cannot thank them enough for making our stay truly memorable. We will definitely bring our kids back again! Jennifer

The staff are very welcoming and helpful at all times, good customer servive. Room is beautiful, clean and and comfortable. Location is great, very convenient to everything. If I come to Shanghai next time, I will come back and book the room with view.
