Very pleasant stay. This is my second visit to the hotel in a year but increasingly it is likely to be my default hotel whenever I visit Shanghai. Location is great - just above exit 4 of the Century Park station. Quiet place but have quite a number of amenities nearby - including KFC, McDonalds, supermarket and the Family Mart Convenience Store. What's most amazing is the service and attentiveness of the staff, from checking in and cleaning. Special shout out to Dora - my room's clearner. She noticed that that I've been consuming more of the tea bags and took the initiative to bring in more, and wrote a lovely note here. It is really such fantastic service that makes one return - no amount of grand facade or facilities can replace that. Great work Dorsett Shanghai!

Our family had stayed 2 rooms for 3 nights on the 27-30, Dec 2024. Our stay were memorable and amazing. The rooms were so clean with very nice view, the breakfast line were delicious and has many variety of food both western and Chinese. The staffs were the most impressive, they could speak very good english and very friendly. The duty manager is very helpful too. I forgot the souvenir which was the Chinese embroidered traditional fan and just realized when I got back home, the duty manager was very enthusiastic and putting a lot of efforts in getting the forgot item back to me. Thank you so much, I’m really impressed and highly appreciated your hard work and kindness.

It was an overall pleasant experience staying here. The check in and check out process was quick. The location was very convenient. The shower was great and comes with a bath tub, hot water was consistent. Maybe just the heater wasn't, I think this is a common thing around Shanghai where they don't realli provide heating. And oh ya, they didn't realli tell me which floor the breakfast was at, but it was a minor thing. All in all a very comfortable stay.

The Hotel is on the 4th floor of a building in Nanjing Road it has a very good location, the cleanliness was great, and the breakfast was very good with so many options. I am from Costa Rica and would definitely recommend this hotel for visiting Shanghai.

This is an excellent hotel with amazing and friendly service and clean rooms. There is no smell of smoke anywhere--not in the lobby, hallway, nor room itself! Everyone is super friendly, ready to help wit luggage, etc. The only drawback (or possible benefit, if this is the type of bed you like) is that the mattress is a little hard (it is not a super soft mattress). The pillow menu that comes with the hotel is fantastic and you really get to feel like home because of it! Also, though it is in a lively area (the French Concession), it is also very clean and quiet! It is in a very central location with the South Shaanxi Subway station right outside serving lines 1, 8, 10, meaning you can get to the Shanghai Station (train) for any trips you want to go on very easily. It is also close to iapm if you want to shop; just down the street! One slight drawback is that in the room we stayed in, the water in the shower head does not get as hot as the water that comes from that faucet in the bathtub. I had to switch to a different room after my friend left and the water temperature was fine, so maybe it was just that room in particular.

Hotel is really clean and the decor is really nice. Stayed here quite a few times. Staff are helpful and will help you with any issues you have. Gym is good and has a indoor pool and steam room all of which are of good standard. Breakfast is ok but to be honest theres a-lot of breakfast spots nearby which I would recommend over the hotel. They do do alcohol and coffee in the hotel but like I say better options outside and the selection isn’t great at the hotel. Overall its not a bad place to stay I used to love it but the price has crept up over the last few years and its in the price range of better hotels now. It’s a really good hotel if you get a good deal on a price or actually if your getting off at Shanghai station and just want to get to your hotel quick. Overall not bad.

Thankfully, I was able to find one pillow without the odor, which I used for the duration of my stay, but this issue really impacted my comfort. Lastly, for those sensitive to noise, I would not recommend this hotel. The cleaners were quite loud while working, and the room insulation is poor, allowing you to hear everything happening around you. For a hotel in this price range, I expected better soundproofing solutions. While the service and room quality are typically excellent, I believe these issues should be addressed to provide a better experience

Overall great experience. Great location and amenities. Spotlessly clean. Great breakfast options. Friendly staff. A little bit of air con noise and bed is a bit on the firm side but tolerable. We stayed in a family room and it would be great to have a children’s stepping stool for washing hands etc. Also make sure you bring enough clothes. Laundry service is very expensive and takes 2 days on average.
