Cleanliness: We had bugs in our room so they moved us to the next one. We could smell smoke from the vents.
WiFi: good.
Bed: good.
Amenities/surrounding area: nice area. Luckin coffee 1 minute away ☕️
Staff/service: very good.
Bathroom: good.
Laundry: free. Dryer not very good.
Space: good.
Noise: good.
Smell: some smoke.
Would I recommend? Yes

Location was a bit far from mrt (walk about 10mins if fast) but otherwise room was clean and comfortable albeit small

The hotel claims to be a non smoking hotel. However, upon checking in, there were signs of smoking throughout our hotel level - with cigarettes littered in the hallway, strong smoking smell coming from our room and even ashtrays in the corridor and room, which contradicts the hotel's claim. The smell was especially bad in our room that it was difficult to breath properly. We were however unable to change room as there are no spare rooms.
Moreover, within our room, we found a clipped toenail from one of the previous person who stayed in that room.
Within the room, the amenities are modern such as a toilet with LED lights and mirror with LED lights.
Location of the hotel is a 10-15mins walk from the nearby metro with a market for fresh vegetables and small eateries in the neighbourhood. Hard to reach the hotel from metro with luggage as the path is not ideal.
Service is somewhat decent as the staffs are accomodating to our requests.

The hotel location is so good, surrounding by so many restaurants, luckin coffee, supermarket, etc. So, you can easily ordering online food 外卖。This one I’ve bought is 口水鸡, only cost around 23rmb. And for this room type, SO GOOD. Because it’s a 2 floor’s room. Which is the bed is place on the 2nd floor. And for the 1st floor, seems like a Family room (there’s a TV, you can sing Chinese song there). For the bathroom, it’s so clean & modern. The toilet can be warm while you sit down there. And the hair dryer so fast to drying your hair. And the ayi (aunty), also can clean your room if you stay there more than 2 days. FYI, this room placed on the 3rd floor of the hotel. Don’t forget, they also have the laundry room on 3rd floor. From this hotel to The Bund 外滩 or Yu Park 豫园 it’s only cost around 40RMB by taxi (can be lower or higher depends on the traffic jam). Because it’s kinda far from the Metro Station, that’s why I choose to use a taxi. That’s all, TOTALLY IT’S A GOOD HOTEL WITH THIS PRICE. Location: about 15min walk to Deping subway station, 20min by taxi to the Bund area. But what I like most is it's located in a local area surrounded by many eateries, restaurants, markets, supermarkets, and a bank. Food here was amazing and cheap!!! You can really feel the local atmosphere here.
Room & service: price is cheap for 4 people in Shanghai so I didn't expect much, but room is quite ok for our family. Not big but very clean, cozy and well equipped. What I don't like is there's only a metal hanging line for hanging clothes, not a wardrobe like in other hotels, so not enough space to hang all your clothes. The receptionists are friendly and supportive.
Will I come back? Yes 😁

Our family had liked Xike hotel. We visited with our little boy together . He stayed to comfortable. When we come back in shanghai . Will be visit again . Thanks for Xike hotel staff .
