This hotel in Shangri La truly felt like home! You can tell the owner puts his heart into the place, and it makes all the difference. We stayed for three nights, but honestly, it wasn’t enough. we loved everything about it, especially all the cool tech features.
The owner was incredibly kind and even upgraded us to what seemed like the biggest room. The heated bed and floors were a dream, keeping us warm and comfortable, and we could even dry our clothes on them! They also have a free washing machine, which was such a lifesaver. And the breakfast? *So good!* The milk tea was amazing, and there was this soup (I wish I knew the name) that I still think about—it was *that* good.
On top of that, the service was next level. The owner personally picked us up from the train station—in a *BMW*, no less! He was beyond thoughtful, even helping us book a trip to Balagezong. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, but I’ve never met an owner who goes this far out of his way to make guests feel welcome.
If you’re visiting Shangri-La, I can’t recommend this place enough. For the level of service and hospitality you get, the price is more than worth it. You *will not* regret staying here! It just walking distance to all the eateries and the prayer wheel!
