Highly recommended for any travellers to Shang-rila, the hotel overlooks the Dukezong ancient town and is within walking distance. However to return to the hotel, it will be an uphill climb so you can ride-hail back. Excellent hotel staff with great service, love the breakfast, love the view, love the room & amenities. 10mins via ride-hail to the railway station too.

We loved our stay here, our only complaint was the long steep slope that you have to climb every time you return to the hotel from the city. Making guests pant and pespire to get to the hotel doesn't quite fit into the hotel's luxurious image.

Hotel Indigo is situated on the top of a hill, overseeing the ancient town. We enjoyed the very beautiful view and scenery from our room and the restaurant, where added-on one breakfast during our stay just to enjoy the view and ambience. The food options during breakfast were average with a mixture of international and local food. Rooms were very clean with daily housekeeping service. Buggy service is also available to bring you from the main lobby to the rooms. The only downside is the walk up the hill when returning to the hotel from the ancient town, as it can be quite tiring and made worst by the altitude. Would definitely recommend staying here during your time in Shangri-la!

We only stay a night, but the room and the staff is excellent. Got upgraded to a balcony room and the view is to die for! Walking distance to the old town but in a quiet part of town. Highly recommended

The hotel has a beautiful view of the old town. It is very quiet and spacious. The restaurant has a good selection of dishes to choose from. You can walk to the old town easily.

hotel is new. Rooms are large, clean, comfortable and well designed. A New hotel also means some inexperience staff, but everyone tries their best.
One downside of the hotels location is the walking path to the old town is quite long as the direct pathway is currently blocked. Hope that changes

We are travelling as a family with young kids. The location is convents located near the town centre, and 10 mins ride to airport. Besides View from room’s balcony is amazing, the staff are helpful and polite in assisting in all ways.
