Shangri-La Hotels with Pools

I stayed in the suite at this hotel. It was a great and very comfortable stay. Everything about the suite was elegant and built for comfort. The hotel has a restaurant that makes delicious Yunnan inspired dishes. The yak stew and the potato dishes were especially good. The staff was nice and friendly although language presented a barrier. (Thankfully there are translation apps.). The pool was a little weird though. It's presented more like a pond in the middle of the hotel rooms. There seems to be only one access point to the pool and there is zero seating. Its rimmed by plants and trees. Very strange. But thats the only criticism of the hotel. Everything else meets and exceeds expectations of a hotel. And its within walking distance of the old town.

The hotel is located 1 km from the ancient town and is a 10-15 minute drive to the train station. The room was comfortable, and the water pressure and heater worked perfectly. The Wi-Fi was very stable as well. (For foreigners, do bear in mind, if you connect to hotel wifi, you would need to connect to VPN in order to use WhatsApp, IG or Youtube) This is a 9-year-old property, so there are some flaws that can be improved, but that is understandable. My only feedback is about the F&B restaurant; they only have one all-day dining option. Breakfast was alright, with more of a local selection. I stayed for two nights. On the first day, there was staff available to help me and serve my cafe latte order. However, on the second day, I did not see any staff on standby, so I had to make my own cafe latte (I had to froth the milk), which I found awkward. I wish the staff were more well trained, but I understand it is low season and the hotel probably hired part-timers for service. The best highlight of my stay was meeting a lady named Rose He, who is part of the guest services team (i think). She made recommendations on where to go and even found us a local driver to take us around. She was extremely kind and polite. We exchanged WeChat information, and she texted me when the weather turned cold or rainy. She also helped us to arrange complimentary transportation to the train station. It felt personalized. Shangri-La, if you are reading this, I believe she deserves a token of appreciation. She is the true star and a great example of “hospitality.” Overall, we were happy with our stay. Thank you.

We were searching for a nice spa place in Shangri-la. I have no doubt that this is the best one. Amazing views to the snow mountain from the top spa (available for all) and a very nice private spa as well. Not only did we get a nice spa experience, the host but drove us to a path to overview the city plus also offered us special help to go for a hike the next day to a beautiful location that will be forever imprinted in our minds. Thank you so much!

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The view is amazing all around. Our room was beautifully designed, bathroom window facing the snow mountain. The floor heating and fire place makes the whole room warm and cozy. Their property located on a route to the big hike, makes it convenient to check out the mountains and water fall. Super friendly staff, they go above and beyond to meet our needs. Also really loved the breakfast and dinner experience. Home style cooking, eventuating was yummy on the menu. We’ll definitely come back next time we visit Yunnan. This hotel itself is an whole experience to enjoy.

The scenery is beautiful, the camp design is outstanding, and there is a heating pad on the bed. It is so comfortable. Knowing that we did not drive, ”Takumi” drove us down the mountain to eat and go back. Xiao Wu was so attentive and considerate to help us carry our luggage. If it rained, he would put it away in advance. He gave us a good umbrella and went to the camp restaurant in the evening. Thank you for drinking and chatting with us to relieve our boredom. He also escorted us out of the door. I really appreciated the boss's character and he was so funny. Although a few days have passed, I still can't forget the scenery of the camp. I hope I can come again next time. Finally, thank you for making our memories more colorful.

Stepping into Sangzhu Villa, the traditional ******* architectural style hits you in the face. The carved beams and painted buildings show the profound heritage of ******* culture. The colorful thangkas and exquisite wood carvings tell ancient stories in every detail. It makes people feel like traveling through time and space and being in the mysterious ******* wonderland. The guest rooms are unique, with warm and elegant decorations, soft and comfortable beds, and unique ethnic decorations, creating a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. The hotel's breakfast surprised me. Yunnan specialty rice noodles are so good! There is also yak milk, which has a rich aroma. Shangri-La Sangzhu Villa is not just a hotel, but also a place for the soul to rest, and the most precious encounter on the journey. Here, you will not only gain a comfortable accommodation experience, but also a deep understanding of Shangri-La culture and unforgettable memories.

The location of the hotel is amazing. Haba Snow Mountain on the left and Yulong Snow Mountain on the right can be seen from the room. Laoyao Mountain is so beautiful at sunset, and it looks better every time you look back. In addition, the staff are very enthusiastic and the service is in place. The food is delicious in the tourist area and the price is reasonable. I feel that Laoyao Mountain has a difficult mountain road, so few people come, but the scenery is beautiful and the difficulty is low, which is quite suitable for parents and children.

This trip, I stayed at the Golden Years Hotel, and the experience was great! The hotel has a great location, pleasant surroundings, and convenient travel. The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities, and comfortable living. The hotel provides pick-up and drop-off services. Xiaoyu is friendly and caring throughout the whole process. Whether it is the guidance for the first arrival or the needs of check-in, they are handled very well. I will come again next time! In particular, the hotel not only picked us up, but also sent us immediately after 9 o'clock in the evening when we were uncomfortable with altitude sickness. We were also sent to the high-speed rail station the next day. It was very considerate. I sighed with my partner that this group of young people who manage the hotel are very caring, polite, and reliable. Thumbs up for them!

The location of the B&B is very good, just a short walk to Dukezong Ancient City, which is very convenient for night tours of the ancient city and food hunting. The facilities in the room are very complete, including an oxygen concentrator and a humidifier, which are essential and must be turned on all night. Floor heating is great too! With its own underground parking lot, you don’t have to worry about your car getting frosty in the morning in winter.

Rongqia is the ceiling of my picky tent hotel + exclusive view travel route, without any suspense. The harmony between the hotel and nature, and the harmony between man and nature are vividly reflected. The scenery of the hotel is not inferior to Pudacuo. There are various scenes for punching in, such as horseback riding, sheep feeding, boating, and fishing that children like. In the afternoon, I enjoyed a quiet afternoon tea time at the island coffee. It was so pleasant. The hotel's meals are also very nice. The coffee, pasta, and pizza for afternoon tea taste great, and the dinner dishes are also very tasty, which adds points to the stay experience. The natural hot springs in the hotel are so amazing that they can heal the fatigue of the journey in minutes. The emotional value is the hotel's exclusive tour route, driven by a photographer + professional guide, without walking throughout the whole journey, and experiencing the extreme beauty of the untouched places easily and happily. I have only one conclusion. Even though I have been to Shangri-La many times, the Shangri-La I saw this time is amazing to me and the entire circle of friends. I have experienced a different Shangri-La, which is worth it. The service awareness of all service teams is superb 👍👍👍👍 We will come to your new camp again.
