Shiretoko Village

It is a large B&B on a hillside. The owner will explain everything about staying here very carefully to the customers. It is very impressive. The whole environment is well organized and well managed. It makes you feel at home. This time I stayed in a new hotel. Floor, there is a faint scent of mats in the spacious room, the dinner is sumptuous, the service in the cafeteria is very good, and the sense of ceremony is full. After dinner, I soaked in the hot springs, which was very comfortable to relieve fatigue. I saw many people traveling on motorcycles staying here There are many high-end motorcycles here, which shows that it is a popular inn. I will choose to stay here next time.

Hotels in Shiretoko are quite expensive, especially in the peak season in winter, so I chose this one on the mountain. It takes 20 minutes to walk to the 711 supermarket at the foot of the mountain, and it also takes 20 minutes to walk to the nearest restaurant. There is nothing nearby. Fortunately, the hotel has free shuttle to the BUS station (you need to call), and I drove a domestic 1 million alpha to pick me up, and the ride experience was not bad. The next day I went to Shiretoko for hiking, and they could also pick me up directly at the hotel, which was pretty good. I booked a Japanese tatami room, which happened to be on the second floor of the new building, facing the yard. The room was very comfortable and spacious. There are public washing machines, tea machines, and ice machines--I love them. The hot spring is also good, not crowded, and larger than the hotel in Abashiri. The breakfast is a set meal, which is okay, and you need to book a time in advance. I don’t know if it’s because of the peak season of the Spring Festival, but the two front desks are Chinese and easy to communicate.

I stayed in a dormitory. I think it was reasonable considering the price. I think it would have been better if they provided amenities such as a razor, toothbrush, lotion, etc.

The overall experience was outstanding! First of all, the front desk staff was warm and friendly, making me feel at home. The room is spacious and bright, elegantly decorated, and the bed is very comfortable, allowing me to sleep soundly every night. The hotel's facilities are also quite complete, making it a great place to relax. The food in the restaurant is amazing, especially the breakfast buffet, which has a wide variety of choices and tastes superb. In terms of location, the hotel is close to major attractions, making it convenient to explore the surrounding cultural and shopping areas. Overall, I was impressed with this stay and look forward to coming back next time!
