Oonas Dive Club

Very nice hotel room

I arrived at Oonas with my 13 year old daughter (6 dives) and 16 year old son (25 dives) last week. We came purely for the diving, and I had researched online to find the right place. We were very happy with our choice. The dive team are great, and having a dedicated boat is a real bonus, different from some operators who share/swap boats from day to day. All the diving guests on the boat were from this hotel, and pretty much all the hotel guests were on the boat each day, which meant that the whole operation was very slick. The kit is left on the boat throughout the week. All the transfers left on time. The dive resort is in the same building as the hotel rooms and restaurant, which means that everyone is on time, all the time. The hotel room itself was as you would expect, but the restaurant was a pleasant surprise, with good (hygienic/safe) offerings for very fair prices. No tummy troubles. My kids completed their advanced open water, and nitrox courses, using Oonas kit, without a hitch. The teaching was good, and friendly. I was worried that my youngest might feel overwhelmed by the experience, having only dived in a calm lake in the UK for her OW cert, but she was never stressed, thanks to the calm support of the dive team, and equally importantly the help of the boat crew. I would recommend Oonas highly for keen divers of all ages. It hits the spot. I would not recommend the touristy "cultural" excursions around Sharm, but this is in no way a reflection on Oonas. Just stick to the excellent diving support from this one-stop-shop, which is what you came for.

I return to this place year after year it is so good and friendly. I always get treated with friendship. The diving is professional and very organised while still making me feel relaxed and encouraging you to enjoy everything that the diving offers in the redsea.

I stayed a week in this hotel and went on diving trips with them. All I can say is that I am definitely coming back to this place and will dive again with them. The hotel is very clean and tidy with friendly staff. There is a private beach. Quiet area, lovely bar and restaurant offering fresh breakfast and nice hot meals and drinks. The diving instructors are very experienced professionals who obviously enjoy what they do and make each diving trip feel safe and enjoyable. Rental diving gear is in good condition. I recommend this place for someone who would appreciate a nice place to stay and would love to enjoy diving.

We booked Sharm to complete our open water course we then booked Oonas dive club as our teachers of choice Karen was great setting it all up for us. on arrival we had issues with our hotel due to issues with the tour operator but Peter and the team at oonas helped us sort a room at oonas witch turned out better and what we should have booked in the first place. the training went smooth and the diving was amazing with both me and my partner seeing some amazing sites and we are already looking to book a return trip later in the year. we couldn't have found a better team than the team at oonas to deliver what was a fantastic holiday. we look forward to seeing everyone again soon Willie&Nicole x
