Family-friendly Hotels in Shijiazhuang

I passed by here on my way home for the New Year and stayed here for one night. I am very disappointed with the management of the swimming pool at 6th floor regarding to : 1. No life guard provided and allow non-guest swimming lessons occupying the whole pool without the area separated. 2. There are three so-called coaches to look after the pools but they all turn a blind eye when seeing someone break the safety codes including diving. 3, as you know no matter the business arrangement between intercontinental and the pool operation team, we as a guest the interest of us should prevail over the non guest learners of the swimming lessons. 4. I have repeatedly reminded the swimming coaches about the issue but they just do not pay any attention and performed any precautionary actions.

I stayed at your hotel before the Spring Festival. The experience was very impressive, especially the front desk staff Xiao Ma who was like ”Yang Guifei” and Xiao Yan from the security department. There is an underground passage on the right hand side. It is cold now, so it is warmer to walk down. There is a subway station down here, and it goes directly to Shijiazhuang Station in four stops. The service at the front desk and the guest room is very good. This time, they also gave me gifts during the Chinese New Year. In the past, mineral water was placed in the corridors on each floor, but it was not available this time. However, it was delivered quickly after a phone call. The swimming pool is not open now, and it costs more than 500 yuan a day, including breakfast for two. Disadvantages: The toilet (the automatic toilet makes a huge noise when it is used) and the air conditioner in the room I stayed in this time are very noisy. The cleaning is also a bit average. The most unsatisfactory thing is the service in the restaurant. I stayed here for two days this time, and the waiters in the restaurant did not smile as a whole. This morning, I went to the restaurant and put the dishes on the table. The waiter came to clean and lay the tableware. I saw it and immediately picked up the plate. She didn't even look at me, let alone say thank you. After all, I helped you reduce the workload, right? This is basic courtesy. There was also a lady cooking noodles. I said, ”Hello, do you have noodles now?” Then she glanced at me with a very unhappy look, and without saying a word, she picked up a bowl of cooked noodles and handed it to me, making me feel like I was eating her food. I don't know how the restaurant waiters are trained, but for Shijiazhuang, this hotel is considered high-end, and such service is really lacking.

The hotel is in a good location in the city center. There are two large shopping malls nearby, which is quite convenient for eating and shopping. There is also a museum nearby, which is only a few minutes' drive away. If you stay, you can park for free in the basement, which is quite good. The hotel's reservation depar**ent called in advance to arrange the room and sent fruit. The service is warm and considerate.

This hotel is fine, but to be honest, the check-in procedure for foreigners is way too long and intrusive. I've stayed at dozens of hotels in China and this is the first time I've been asked that many questions (COVID time included): What's the purpose of my stay, where do I live and work, what airline did I use to arrive in China (even though I have been living in China for almost three years) and what was the flight number, etc. This is not acceptable!

The hotel has above-ground and underground parking lots. During the May Day holiday, there was basically no space on the ground, but there were quite a few underground parking spaces, but they were basically full. The hotel is close to the government and you can see the TV tower. It is well decorated and has a complete range of facilities, including swimming, fitness and buffet. Welcome fruit is provided in the room. The house is square and the mattress is very thick, the pillows are moderately soft and hard, the curtains have a good shading effect, the TV signal is slightly worse, the room is very clean, and the attitudes of all kinds of waiters are very good.

The room we were given only had a small window but it had a nice view and comfortable bed. Only complaint is that the room is a bit dated and had strong smell of cigarettes even though we asked for non smoking. Afternoons tea is a nice feature

The location is good. It is very convenient to go anywhere in the city center. There is a bus stop and subway right outside. It is very close to the Hebei Provincial Museum. The room is clean and the front desk service attitude is very good. The breakfast is very rich and is in a buffet style. There are basically all kinds of food. This is a very satisfying trip
