Best Shijiazhuang Hotels

Overall a great hotel, and we loved our room and the swimming pool (the changing rooms and showers are amazing!) but there were some issues. Our door cards constantly stopped working even though we told the staff every time we extended our booking. The gym was much too hot, almost too hot to work out in. The shower in the room was not hot enough and the water temperature fluctuated a lot. Breakfast was very disappointing; the breakfast room so freezing that a lot of people had to wear their coats to breakfast and a lot of the food was cold even at 7.30am. The service at breakfast was poor and there was little good western food. Undeniably the view is absolutely stunning though. The worst thing was the internet, which even for Chinese websites was extremely slow, and that more than anything else spoiled our stay.

Basically satisfied, recommend it to everyone. The front desk clerk was warm and thoughtful, the room facilities were clean and tidy, the toiletries were all available, the quilt was a bit loud, and the quality of the bedding needed to be improved.

I have stayed at Mercure in Nice, France, South Hampton in London, and in Guangzhou and Yangzhou in China. The Shijiazhuang Yuhua store is the only one with complimentary drinks, which was a little surprise.
