The hotel is okey, the walking distance to the ticket office is only 15 min, 40 min by walk to the park entrance.

It’s a lovely and comfortable hotel. Service is extremely nice and helpful, room big and very clean, including bathroom. Situated well, short distance to stone forest and ticket office. We felt there comfortable and welcome.

I spent two nights there. The room was very large and had all the usual amenities (kettle, hairdryer). The bed was quite hard.
The hotel is not directly at the Stone Forest, but you can walk to the ticket office in about 20 minutes or take a taxi.
There is a large supermarket right next door and a few restaurants nearby.
Diagonally opposite you can buy bus tickets to Kunming and the bus also leaves from there.
