It's a rustic(?) inn in the middle of the forest. I stopped in for a bath on my way back from Lake Kanayama. When I entered the building, the first thing I saw was the words "The hot spring is heated using firewood." I guess it's easy to get thinned wood from forests in this area. I was surprised that in this Reiwa era, they still heat the water using firewood like in Showa era public baths.
