Hotel Aoka Kamigoto

There was no dinner service, which was disappointing. There were hardly any places to eat around the hotel, so we went to a place near Aikawa Port. The photo shows the nearby Ozo Church.

Lobby atmosphere ★5 = The reading corner on the left as you enter is especially nice. It has a wide selection of well-written books about the Goto Islands and church architecture. Makes you want to sit back and relax. There is also a fireplace that burns wood, making you want to come here even in winter. Restaurant★4.5=Hospitality is excellent. In particular, the explanation of the wine by the person who seemed to be a meter was good. Even the leftover bottles were brought to my room after hearing about my schedule in advance. The food was delicious, but the main Goto beef (I think it was thigh meat) was a little tough and I thought it would be difficult for older people to eat. Room★4 = The view from the room is not particularly good as the view is of the blue city. The comfort of the bed is perfect. It is also easy to use that the toilet and bath are separated. However, it is a bit of a problem that the sink is in the room where the bed is. I think this may have been due to space constraints, but I think it would be nice to have to brush my teeth next to a friend who is relaxing. Other = If you use Jetfoil from Nagasaki, you can use the free shuttle bus from Narao Port, which will drop you off right in front of Hotel AOKA. This was very convenient. If you use a taxi from Narao to Aokata, it will take about 40 minutes and cost money. The free shuttle bus is only for Jetfoil users, so those coming from Nagasaki are recommended to use Jetfoil. Breakfast ★5 = You can choose between a Japanese ochazuke set and a Western sandwich. The sandwich is full of volume, with lots of toppings sandwiched between thick Yamagata bread. My friend chose the ochazuke set, which when it arrived, you could choose from about 5 different types of pickled fish, including yellowtail and sea bream, and it looked really delicious. I should have gone that way. Well, the sandwich was delicious, but... Overall, I would rate this as a comfortable inn where you would want to stay for 3 or 4 days in a row if the price was a little more reasonable.

I stayed at the AOKA Hotel. It has a beautiful exterior, and the lobby inside the hotel is spacious and has a relaxing atmosphere. There are also comfortable chairs, so you can relax. I woke up early in the morning, so I ended up daydreaming here. The room was spacious and clean. It was nice that the toilet and bath were separate. The bed was also large and I was able to sleep comfortably. Dinner was a course meal. You can enjoy Goto cuisine. The food is really good. I ate it while drinking Goto shochu. It was an amuse bouche, appetizer, pasta, fish and meat dishes, dessert and drink. The fish was Spanish mackerel, with a golden brown exterior and a fluffy interior. It was even more delicious when served with an olive-based sauce, which added richness to the flavor. The Goto beef poached in salt is rich in flavor and delicious enough with just salt. It was refreshing and delicious when served with black pepper sauce. The penne bolognese had a very tasty beef stock sauce. The dessert was quite filling and the perfect way to end the delicious meal. A truly delicious dinner. For breakfast we had yellowtail sashimi marinated in soy sauce. The yellowtail was very fatty and tasty. It goes well with rice and is delicious when served on top. Finally, we poured some flying fish stock over it, which made it taste like flavourful ochazuke, a truly delicious breakfast. The food and rooms were both great, this is a truly wonderful hotel. I would like to stay here again.

The exterior is a renovated hotel, so it looks pretty good, but when you enter the first floor, you'll hear the title's soliloquy. The rooms are stylish as well. I was single, but the family type room my friend stayed in was even more stylish. (I just looked at the photo, and it looked like a SOHO flat.) The staff aren't particularly stylish or hospitable, but they're more than capable. Breakfast was a bit lacking, so I'd be happy if there was a system that was easy for big eaters. The one disappointing thing is that when I asked about the parking lot, I was directed up a hill, and when I got there, it was full, so I backed up the narrow road and spoke to the front desk again, and this time they directed me to the second parking lot. The restaurant was full, so I thought it would be full... Anyway, the fish stir fry is the best.
