I am pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was not too small and bathroom and toilet were separate. At reception I was greeted with a welcome drink and in the first floor there are microwaves and washing machines. Around the hotel are many eateries, shops and supermarkets. You can walk there. The breakfast was enough with quite a bit of choice. I think, the parking runs out fast. So arriving earlier is better.

I booked it for the night before the Matsumoto marathon. Route Inn was on the 1 floor with a large communal bath everywhere, and I liked the heat, so it was 42 degrees and it was pleasant. There are also sharp, conditioner, shaving foam, face and hand washing foam in the bath, and beard and razor. The rice was free and it was a delicious breakfast. It was a different menu for two days. 台風で周りを散歩できず残念でしたが 食事はどれも美味しくて ジビエも食べれましたし スタッフの方との会話も楽しかったです

This is the best hotel we ever stayed at. If you are reading this review, it means you already decided on going to the middle of no where Japan. Byaku more or less owns the town. There are other ryokans but nowhere close the the quality of this. They also have the only restaurant open late and it is amazing!!! Furthermore book it on a Friday/Sat/Sunday so you can enjoy the sake brewery next to the hot springs. Also get rooms with your own Onsen, it’s worth it the public ones aren’t co gender
