Chiang Rai Hotels with Airport Shuttle

"Summary I stayed at this riverside hotel and overall had a very pleasant stay. The location is excellent for short taxi trips into town, the spa was a highlight and the bar food and drinks were excellent. Service-wise they were helpful (they arranged drivers for us). The one real downside was the buffet breakfast, which offered very little for vegetarians. My experience I found the hotel comfortable and relaxing. The riverside setting gives it a calm vibe, and it’s only a short taxi ride to the town centre — handy when you want to get out and explore. We spent an afternoon in the spa and both the massage and the facilities were excellent; it was definitely one of the best parts of our stay. Food & drink The bar was a pleasant surprise: the food we tried there was tasty and the drinks were very well made. It was a nice spot for an evening drink and casual dining. Service Staff were friendly and proactive. They were very helpful organising transport — first getting us a local driver, and later arranging a driver to take us on to Chiang Mai, which made travel logistics easy. Location Riverside position is great for atmosphere, and the short taxi ride to town makes it convenient without being in the centre. Good for a quieter base with easy access to sights. Downside The buffet breakfast was disappointing for vegetarians — options were limited, so if you don’t eat meat you may find breakfast choices sparse. If you’re vegetarian I’d recommend checking whether the kitchen can make something off‑menu, or planning to eat elsewhere. Would I recommend it? Yes — especially if you value a relaxed riverside setting, a strong spa and good bar food, and need help with local transport. If you’re vegetarian and rely on hotel breakfasts, be aware the buffet selection is limited."

"The Heritage Chiang Rai Hotel and Convention is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel offers ample parking for cars and motorcycles. Its location near the town center makes it convenient for exploring, yet it remains calm and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay. The breakfast buffet is delicious and offers great variety, adding excellent value to the overall experience. Definitely worth the money paid for such comfort and quality service!"

"Booked 2 rooms for family trip. All good except during late check in, 1 room door cannot tap open due to low battery. Another room with torn bedsheet. While waiting for the chamber staffs to change the bedsheet, they simply put all the pillows and blankets on the floor. Are all the bedding being put on the floor when they clean up the room? Unfortunately I don’t have the photos to share as only stay a night."

"Excellent staff and a decent room with a good shower. Unfortunately the room had a thick metal grill surrounding the tiny balcony which made it feel like a cage. Add the shrubs and bushes and it blocks out most natural light. The swimming pool was not that clean with numerous dead leaves and pigeon feathers although the area around it was very nice with good sun loungers. Breakfast was good and the staff kept it clean and tidy. Had toast and good tea but otherwise Thai and Asian menu. But I enjoyed it. The closing time of 9.45am is too early, especially as they start clearing away even earlier."

"We spent five nights at Sooknirund Hotel and had a lovely, relaxing stay. The hotel is beautifully designed with a mix of modern and vintage charm, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully put together. The inclusion of a cafetière in the room was a particularly nice touch. There are some great features throughout the hotel, including a small but well-equipped gym, and a cosy library room with a Nespresso machine, which made for a peaceful spot to unwind. While the stay was very comfortable overall, the breakfast was the one slight letdown. It’s à la carte, and you pre-select your dish at reception the night before. While the menu is varied, the quality and availability were inconsistent. On some mornings, there was juice, toast, and cereal alongside the main dish, while on others, these extras were nowhere to be seen, which was disappointing. Late check-out wasn’t available, which would have been appreciated, but the staff were consistently warm, friendly, and welcoming, and that made a big difference. In short, Sooknirund Hotel is a stylish and comfortable base in Chiang Rai, and we would happily stay again, we just hope breakfast becomes a little more consistent."

"This is one of the highly rated hotels. The furnishings and furniture are made of high quality materials, and although the building is old, it is well maintained. I think the food at the restaurant on the first floor is among the best in Chiang Rai. It was a shame that the pool was not available due to flooding on the neighboring Kok side. The Blue Temple is within a short walking distance."

"The Riva Vista hotel was beautiful designed property, we loved it all, the service was friendly, the breakfast buffet and the dinner menu were great, very delicious food, attentive service, on a wonderful setting it is just few steps from the Blue Temple, that makes it convenient, but far from downtown."

"Right next to Central Mall. Breakfast was good, room is good for two people, and clean. Toothbrush and toothpaste are provided only when requested. Staff is responsive. No gym on site and only a small pool. I'm not sure if this is a thing in Chiang Rai but this hotel has lots of mosquitoes, we dare not open our hotel balcony door or the front door for too long. Given the price, I would recommend anyone for a short stay in this hotel."
