Our stay at this accommodation in Sibiu was extremely disappointing. The room was cold, smelled bad, and was definitely uncleaned, with visible signs of neglect and water damage poorly hidden behind decorative props. The bathroom was in such a terrible state that we couldn’t even bring ourselves to use it. The overall environment was uncomfortable, unhygienic, and far from what was advertised. We couldn’t sleep at all that night and left feeling frustrated and let down. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The accommodation was absolutely terrible! The bathroom was full of dampness and mold, and overall, it was filthy. The walls were peeling, the room was freezing, and the smell was absolutely unbearable. An experience I wouldn’t recommend to anyone!

We made accommodations for some of the teaching staff from the Technical University of Cluj, who visited Sibiu for a conference. Spacious rooms, but without heating, even though it was 0 degrees in Sibiu!!! The teachers also complained about the lack of hot water for the shower! I don't know where you got such a score...on booking! Shame!

This place exceeded my expectations, especially for the price. My place was more of a suite than a room, with ambience that goes beyond tourist accommodation. There was a large bedroom with a high ceiling, big windows, a comfortable bed and some delightful mementos of the writer commemorated here. There was also a small private kitchen with fridge, microwave and kettle. The location is great: a reasonable walk from the train station and just a few minutes to Sibiu’s historic centre on one side and a section of medieval walls and towers on the other side. There are grocery stores and a lot of restaurants nearby, and a self-sevice laundry within walking distance (in the Habermann Markt, not far past the medieval walls). The #13 bus to the ASTRA Muzeul Satului, a great open air museum, stops on Bulevardul Corneliu Copsu, the first street past the medieval walls.

Cons: bad internet, leak in bathroom (good thing they changed room), second room was not as clean, towels were dirty, bathroom has a smell and is very humid Price was different than what we agreed on the phone. Pro: Location, Very close to city center, decent breakfast, good coffee, one of the guys was very polite, brought us new towels for second day. I would not recommend either as couple or family, we did not enjoy, it was good for location but nothing else.

Friendly host, great communication. Lovely spacious room with all the facilities (fridge, wi fi, kettle, tea and coffee, microwave) we needed. Delicious traditional Romanian breakfast. All this just a stone's throw from the historic heart of Sibiu. Would stay again for sure.

Reservation cancelled less than 24 hours before the date even though we had booked a month in advance. The reason? None. The solution? Not finding a hotel in the center and having to book one 3km from the center as a remedy. — If you want to have a quiet vacation, do not book this property: you risk being left without a room a few hours before arrival —

Bei meiner Ankunft in der Poet Pastior Residence bekam ich ein sehr geräumiges, wohl kürzlich renoviertes Zimmer, das sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet war. Es war recht ruhig, zumal ich keine andere Gäste traf und die Rezeption nicht permanent besetzt war. Das Bett war als Doppelbett (mein Einzelzimmer war wohl eigentlich ein Doppelzimmer zur Einzelnutzung) nicht nur groß, sondern auch bequem. Ansonsten ist die Poet Pastior Residence ein schön eingerichtetes Hotel, dass in Eingangsbereich, der schönen Galerie und Treppenhaus die historischen Elemente des Hauses mit passender moderner Dekoration verbindet. Zudem besticht es durch eine tolle Lage in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, aber absolut zentral in der Stadt. Vom Bahnhof habe ich etwa 10 Minuten zum Hotel gebraucht. Gerne kann ich die Poet Pastior Residence für einen Aufenthalt in Sibiu weiterempfehlen.
