Fantastic experience. Top-notch service. Delicious meals. Highly recommended. LOCATION: Just over an hour's drive from PE. Last 10km on a poor quality gravel road (especially during wet weather). Hotel offers private transfers at an exorbitant price. APPEARANCE: Great. Luxurious, yet fitting of the outdoor experience. Better quality finishing than many of it's competitors. ROOM (Stayed in a Superior Family Room at Pollards Inn): Decor: Quality on par with a 5-star city hotel despite being surrounded by nature. 2 Double beds. Sleeper couch. Large desk/work area. Lovely tranquil patio with a beautiful view. Size: Huge spacious room plus patio. Interleading options available as well. Decently sized bathroom. Amenities: Meets expectations. Bar fridge/snacks included. Full Dstv bouquet. Quality of sleep. Excellent. Comfortable beds. SERVICE: As good as I've experienced. From arrival to departure everyone was fantastic. Knowledgeable game drive and predator park guides. Those little extra touches did not go unnoticed - like washing your car prior to departure or gifting Kwantu caps to the kids playing outside. DINING: Excellent. Fully Halaal. All-inclusive. Decent variety. Excellent quality. Great staff. One of the highlights of the trip. ACTIVITIES/FACILITIES: Trip was unfortunately marred by wet weather so were unable to fully experience everything on offer. Personalised itinerary. Enjoyable game drives with close big 5 encounters. Predator park. Petting zoo. Lots of outdoor facilities. Clean well maintained Muslim prayer facility. The kids' play area could do with some improvement. MY BOOKING AGENT: Hotel website ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Despite being a group of 10, transfers are quoted on the website on a per person basis which would have amounted to a similar price to our flights from Johannesburg. Due to our early evening arrival and hesitancy to tackle the roadtrip on unfamiliar terrain in the dark, the hotel lost out on our party booking an extra night's accommodation as we chose to spend the night in PE and drive through the next day in 2 rental cars which costs significantly cheaper than Kwantu's own transfers. My feeling is that if you are located in an isolated location, accessibility/transfer options for guests making multi-room bookings for a few nights need to be more attractive. Will I recommend/stay there again? Yes definitely.
