Catty Cats Garden Hotel

Lovely hotel, staff were friendly, when we first arrived we asked if we could change rooms as our 60 year old Mam couldn't get in the bunk bed, this was resolved quickly and without any fuss. We were given a lovely first floor spacious apartment with balcony. Everything was spotless and air con worked as it should. Fridge was also lovely and cold as was the shower but shower head wouldn't stay in place, it wasn't a problem just holding it. Plenty of option when it came to food, if you're not too fussy, we enjoyed the food, nice and tasty, desserts and fruit galore. The only thing I disliked was the fish in the hotel but I tried fish on one of our excursions and that was lovely. Fresh bread but only marg no butter. There's a panini press you can use to make toasties etc. Mosque wakes you up at half 5 every morning along with the rooster this was a bit loud at first but we soon slept through it on our 5th day there We honestly can't complain, All the pool side is kept clean and scrubbed every day. Lovely staff, entertainment was ok. Fun on the water slides. Fresh bitter orange and olive trees surrounded the pool and hotel which was lovely. I'll give this hotel 9/10. We'll definitely stay again soon. You have to check out at midday but you're given a locker for all your suitcases and you're still allowed to use the premises until you leave. Tom Cruise excursions is just a minute walk away who we can also highly recommend. From hiring a trike to visiting the most gorgeous Green Paradise Canyon. Tom is your man when it comes to any booking. Horse riding and quad biking near by as well as lots of boat trips in the sea and river. Slush on tap at the hotel as well as alcohol (it pays to tip the staff a little for a decent shot) both pools are lovely and refreshing. If you ask nicely the chef will fry you a few eggs for breakfast (they're free range) very tasty on fresh toasted bread. See you again soon Catty Cats

Me and my partner came to cats garden sep 2003 enjoyed it was near everything we returned sep 2024 to the hotel , staff friendly , rooms very clean, food was ok bit repetitive but we ate every day ,the only downside was drinks very watery and not a lot of choice, pools were clean , we like the location of the hotel as near town, market, and theres a bus to the beach from the hotel, as a couple it suits us as not a loud hotel we are returning this year sep2025 and look forward to it .

We got to the hotel around midnight so we couldn’t really see the hotel properly as it was dark when we woke up we had realised the slight difference from pictures of the rooms compared to ours however it was still fine for what we paid for. The Wi-Fi is only free in the lobby and restaurant, however we paid €10 for each device for Wi-Fi to use in our rooms. In the morning I had discovered the TV was not working and one of the plugs was faulty. I let reception know and they came within 5 to 10 minutes to fix it. Only realised after three days later that the refrigerator was not plugged in either so I plugged that in myself. The mosque does go off several times a day but it is a religious country so it is what it is. Be sure to reserve some beds before you go in for breakfast. Some of the kids at the pool were really naughty and would throw tennis balls at your heads without fear and squirt water out of the water guns that people without fear so be weary of that. There was an incident result in someone having to go to the hospital. We think it was one of the kitchen staff who made the really nice pizzas/pide and we couldn’t have them for the last few days of the holiday however we managed to get a lot during lunch and it was really nice 10 out of 10. The cleaners are very eager to clean your rooms and don’t speak English at all but it is still okay to communicate with them somehow there are buttons to press on the wall to say if you want your room cleaned however the lights that show this switch off after you take your key card out of the room. The lifeguard was really nice and Adam the desert maker was really nice too. You can get your hair braided or tattoo or Turkish baths or Shisha. Toilet by the pool are boiling and sometimes not cleaned (paper everywhere or not refilled). What we thought was a snack bar/room was just for extra beverages like juice tea coffee water Slushies. The cups from the bar are really small but if you order a pint you’ll get a bigger glass (we would recommend reusing that bigger cup). The gardener is always going round collecting glasses and making sure the place looks tidy outside. Slides are turned on at particular times of the day however people are allowed to swim and play in the pool at the bottom of the slides so sometimes you feel like you can’t go down them without hurting someone. The food tested good however there was the same things pretty much every day. There is an escalator that goes to the top terrace to eat. There is also a lift as well which is accessible. There is also a shop in the hotel if you want to buy ice creams/crisps. Shuttle beach bus went in the morning 9:30 am and 10:30 am however walking to the beach or other shops was not that far to walk at all. I also would recommend looking at the shops/resturants in the village as it is cheap rather than going to the shops by McDonald’s but the supermarket was dead cheap. If you wanted the nice place to eat outside of the hotel would be Peppers Gril

Ok. The hotel in itself is value for money and I am here now however it does have it's flaws. There is only 1 bar with 1 beer pump which is totally inadequate for the number of guests and this causes queuing at the bar. There are only 1 set of toilets located downstairs. The pool is too small for the amount of people on the complex and it feels like you are an ingredient in a soup sometimes. There are good points though.. it's cheap. Quite central and the rooms are clean. The food is quite repetitive but that's the same in most all inclusive hotels. There is a mosque right next door which can be quite loud so if you don't mind being woken be the call for prayer (which I think adds to the feel) then great. I would stay again however I will be looking to upgrade next time I come to Side. It is what it is.

If you coming to anywhere in Turkey do not come to this hotel we had to change rooms because the showers were not cleaned there was mould infesting onto the walls there is no food upon arrival and they do not have anything for your kids to eat 0 0 0 !

Were to start, just avoid especially if your females either friends holiday or sole traveller. We met some amazing people who we will stay friends with forever. But the hotel is more like a hostel with a pool and just one alcoholic drink abavaiable vodka and watered down and you can't get a cold drink untill 10.30am even coke thay say have water or coffee, and it closes at 10pm, the food is mostly bad all taste the same, no snacks throughout the day just coffee and cakes at 4pm. Rooms are dirty mould in shower the soap holder was black and green they tend to concentrate on the roomms attached to the main building and neglecting all the other blocks, beds are hard so if you suffer from back issues etc then you will be in pain. Pool area was kept clean daily by a sweet 80 year old man he work hard from early hours. Main pool very cold even though temperatures were 30d due to it being shaded by the main building. Entertainments well same songs played over and over during the day, darts in the day evenings nothing apart from half an hour turkish dancing one night belly dancer another and karaoke that's it. Now to the frightening part, two of the male staff are creepy always trying to get young and older lady's to let them in there rooms, one of the female guest was bitten by a male staff then he tried to push her down the steps after she refused to let him go to her room. Another was pushing an older lady to give him fag's and buy him vodka to take home and also had money go missing from her room safe they were to frightened to say anything. Most of the staff are rude nasty arogent males only saw one female worker apart from the cleaners the rest were male. I was refused a cold coke with ice when I was leaving as it was not open till 10.30 and the time was 10.19 this is not all-inclusive and you spend more money eating out and drinking out. Please please avoid this hotel pay the extra for your safety and to have a good holiday I WOULD NOT RETURN EVER.
