The Victoria Hotel & Source Spa

This was a last minute short stay to have some well earned rest. This hotel did not disappoint. We were absolutely delighted with out stay at the Victoria Hotel. The rooms are well appointed and maintained, clean, the beds/mattresses were good quality, We had a Winter Warmer deal and had a room with a tower on level 1. It had a lovely view over the town and bay. The curtains were heavy to keep out the light in the morning. The only gripe we had was the heating was on full blast and overheated even with the windows open all day and night. The food was fantastic. Well presented and high quality. Thank you to the chefs for the vegan and vegetarian options that were top class. We had delightful staff and dining managers. The lounge areas were stunningly decorated with fresh flowers, original features and plenty of seating areas. On Saturday evening there was music/band in the dining room that then moved to the lounge. The carpet was taken up to make way for a dance floor. It was lovely to see people dancing. I took the opportunity to use the spa and had treatments. These were divine. The therapist was so helpful and responsive to my needs. We could not fault the staff who were helpful and friendly. The service was top notch.We felt all of the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We were at times the youngest at the hotel as it did cater for older members of society. Perhaps we do fit in that bracket now? Overall a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Overall quite good ,hotel lacks atmosphere and feels a little like being in a retirement home on times

We had 3 nights at the Victoria and it is difficult to fault. The staff were friendly and professional, and the food was excellent. We would certainly go back.

Super break away,small but lovely spa ,great food with great service ,comfortable beds great hair dryer often in hotels you get rubbish ones

Wonderful break in a comfortable and peaceful environment. Enjoyed the new spa and with the lovely weather it's perfect location in Sidmouth makes everything very easy. Great food and service. Felt pampered the whole visit and food was tasty and well portioned.

I booked a 2 night spa break here and it was just lovely. This hotel seems to get everything right if you enjoy a bit of old world seaside hotel service alongside spotless high quality rooms and a very modern and tranquil sis this is it. The service, the food, room quality, cleanliness and the spa were all excellent. Thank you I will be back.
