# Siem Reap Anantara Review
This time in Siem Reap, I experienced the world's smallest Anantara Hotel (only 39 suites). The price of 1k including breakfast basically meets the luxury brand imagination. There were surprises and joys during the stay, but overall the flaws outweigh the merits.
Horror night: The light control panel in room 222 failed, and it flickered frequently after turning off the lights. The panel was changed that night but no room change was agreed. It flickered again the next day before the room change was made.
Highlights:
- Free logo scarf, cool towel and welcome drink upon check-in, with uniform fragrance
- Luggage is delivered to the room in advance, the bed is made at night, the waiter is enthusiastic and remembers the last name
- A la carte breakfast is rich, potato cakes and chicken rice noodles are delicious, and chocolate is given when leaving the hotel
- The swimming pool has a good view and considerate service; there are daily activities and one-on-one teaching of handmade incense
- SPA starts at $30, which is better than Park Hyatt
Disadvantages:
- Basic room types do not have bathtubs
- Small scale, poor maintenance of facilities (lighting failure, room dirt, damaged fitness equipment)
- The quality of champagne in the breakfast room is average, and the spare parts are not big brands and cannot be taken away
- It is a 10-minute drive from the city center, which is a bit remote
The overall service is considerate and the atmosphere is quiet. I will consider it next time I come to Siem Reap.
