Location of the hotel is amazing Sierra Nevada was incredible but quite expensive as a resort town almost like the Aspen of Spain The Hotel itself had good facilities, the ski lockers were a nice touch. Restaurant was really good with friendly staff and really good food. Some aspects were a little repetitive but we were there for 10 days. Sports room was frustrating as every game of pool cost 3 euros as well as air hockey and games everything was an extra charge. Bar staff was really pleasant and evening entertainment really nice. Front office staff were terrible, from when we arrived they made it feel like they were doing us a favour. For and international hotel to have staff with such poor English was concerning. We had booked a family room which was 40 euro cheaper than two doubles, we were put into a standard room with a double bed sleeper couch with 2 teenage boys and a tiny cupboard. Honestly feel ridiculously ripped off as I would gladly have paid 10% more for two rooms. Really horrible experience and honestly felt like a cruise cabin in size. Would never ever recommend this hotel based on that, in all honesty felt cheated and ripped off. 100 % deceitful and genuinely ruined an amazing location, little town and experience. After 45 countries and 100’s of hotels and countless experiences can safely say most disappointing room I have ever stayed in after paying for a family room. Pool was a good wind down after a day on the slopes but frustrating to always have a swimming cap, but if that’s health & hygiene fully understand just remember to bring your flip flops too. Nice Gym and housekeeping staff are better at English than the front office, also way friendlier and more helpful

Absolutely terrible. I use the Don Pepe 2x per year, so trusted the brand. Never again. Food, service, rooms were very poor. Very sub-standard. Was a special celebration, did not get what I requested yet charged. A new years trip to celebrate our engagement. Booked the level with Mountain View and king bed. Got singles! Went straight into the level lounge to get a coffee after a flight and long drive, no food or milk yet well within opening times. Went to desk to ask for milk, after 45 mins no milk so went to next hotel along street to use their bar. One set of towels only in room, asked for x2 but non arrived. Used level lounge twice, which I paid for. No open bar or food on both occasions, well within opening times but yet again no service. Twice at breakfast in the level area ordered from the menu and two days running never arrived. Kids constantly knocking on bedroom door and running away, nothing done. We are talking about a £4K short stay here. Absolutely terrible, shocking and poor service and at a cost.

We went with two small children with both (oldest almost 7) both very keen to use the 'childrens pool' (seperate to the adults rightly so). This 'childrens ' pool is a babies paddling pool (for a better description read other bad reviews outlining the same issue). When I asked the hotel manager why I was lead to believe children might be able to swim from the clear description on the website he passively aggressively stated that its a wellness center meant purely for relaxing (it was like something out of 'The Office') . I explained to him that perhaps with the oversized frozen caricatures and water jets and clear description on the website we could be mistaken in to thinking that children might be able to swim. Not sit in a 30cm 5m x 2m square box. I also pointed out that people are still able to SWIM in wellness centres. I just checked the website again and it clearly states 'children's pool'. It was beyond disappointing (we went more for the hotel as the lifts were still closed). The ONLY saving grace was the childrens club. Great activities and nice environment with the girls super friendly and perfect for the kids. If it wasnt for this we probably would have moved as our room was absolutely tiny. The room service food was hideous. Cold on arrival and bad quality and insanely expensive. We were walking back into the hotel one night and asked reception how much the buffet restaurant was if we havent booked it, in advance they said 35 euros. When we went to check out they tried to charge us 43 euros. I explained that wasnt the price we got told by two members of staff just the evening before. They said they charged us a different price because we didnt book it in advance. It was outrageous. I explained maybe the mistake was with the staff members not being aware of two different prices and the lady on the desk proceeded wo have a full blown arguement with us on the desk. It was truly AWFUL. We asked to speak to the manager and got told they were busy. The queue behind us was insane. I explained we were not leaving until we paid the price we got told by the staff members and after a very long amount of time she charged us the amount we got quoted. It left us with the worst feeling and I have since told everyone I know about it. Side notes: I asked the pool receptionist to get the pool toys out for the kids. She said she hasnt got them today. I told her we had them the day before. She said ok I'll go and get them. (and they were in the cupboard). The childrens pool bubbles didn.t even work on the second day. The lady on the pool desk said it was broken, I went for a massage I had booked for 6pm. The masseuse was late. Nobody informed me. I was just sat there waiting. It Started at 6.15 and finished early with no apology. Such a bad spa experience. So fundamentally- DO NOT go with kids that want to swim. DO NOT expect good customer service. DO expect small v.over priced rooms.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was way too noisy. There were lots and lots of kids running around, making it hard to relax. On top of that, housekeeping wasn’t up to standard—the bathroom was still dirty when I checked in. However, I will say that the employees were very nice and welcoming, which was the best part of my stay. If you’re looking for a quiet and clean place, this might not be the best option. It also stated on the website. At the lockers for the ski and snowboard equipment was heated which it was not, my gloves we’re still cold and wet the next morning.

Hotel with good customer service, clean and within walking distance to the gondolas to go up the mountain. During our weekday stay there were many families with little children all over the hotel; in the bar, the pool, the jacuzzi, the restaurant, so it was impossible to find a quiet corner. The streets around the hotel were full of drunk people singing and shouting all night long, so it was impossible to sleep at night. The hotel is primarily focused on families with small children, with a variety of activities for kids. Not so much for adults or couples who want some peace and relaxation.

Our first time in Sierra nevada and in this hotel. The area is very nice, lots of bars and restaurants, beautiful views, great sking, fantastic. This hotel is absolutely stunning! It's perfectly located just a short walk to the lifts, bars and restaurants on the doorstep, and it's own lovely bars and restaurants on site. It also benefits from underground parking (this is charged), and a complimentary ski locker. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. Spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The food at the buffet breakfast was delicious and incredibly fresh with so much range to please everyone. The staff are all lovely.. immaculate and efficient. I honestly can't say how pleased we were with this hotel and would highly recommend it. The manager Carlos was a huge help to us when we left, and even bought us valentines day drinks. What a wonderful hotel through and through.
