The beds were not very clean, there were hairs in them, the bathroom and toilet were clean, the breakfast was very poor, they put packaged food and called the breakfast an open buffet.

Askar Port Hotel is a very convenient hotel. My room was large with an area for sitting as well as sleeping. It was clean and comfortable. On the top floor was a large eating area that I hear can turn into a bar/lounge on some evenings. The breakfast buffet was typical and fine. I was able to park right outside and the location was terrific. The only downside for me was that my shower had no hot water. This, of course, would not be a problem in the summer, but in much cooler April it was disappointing. Still, I would stay again.

From the outside, it looked clean and well-maintained. But that was about it for the positive aspects. During my stay of several days, the room wasn't cleaned once, and the towels weren't changed. You really have to be hungry for breakfast, or force yourself to help yourself. Probably the most careless breakfast buffet I've ever seen. Dried-out scrambled eggs, dirty cutlery drawers, a rotten tea kettle, etc. I pointed this out to the manager (who, by the way, speaks excellent German), whereupon he uncompromisingly confronted the responsible employees in front of me – you can't do that!!! The next morning, there were at least two (!) tomatoes on the buffet – that at least lent a little color to the whole thing. Otherwise, the hotel is teeming with doormen, in front of the elevator, in the bar. Men without a female companion are not allowed into the hotel (unless they are hotel guests) and are rudely turned away. CONCLUSION: I won't stay here again!
