Hotel Waldhaus Sils

I recently spent two nights at the Hotel Waldhaus and couldn’t be happier. The facility is gorgeous and thoughtfully maintained. They have done an amazing job integrating modern amenities into the historic soul of the property without missing a beat. And of course the hotel is situated in what is one of the most, if not most, beautiful places I have ever visited. The hotel retains all of the grand charm that has drawn discerning travelers for 115 years but it’s the world class hospitality that impressed me most. The hotel owners greeted me when I arrived and every member of the staff had my name memorized immediately. I was particularly happy to be picked up in Sils, late in the day and tired after hiking, by the hotel shuttle driver who greeted me kindly by name. I checked out on July 4, my birthday, and received happy birthday greetings from Patrick, one of the owners, and a special cake to take with me to my next destination. Bravo Hotel Waldhaus for an unforgettable stay!

Beautiful. From the rooms to the service to the overall hospitality. Enjoyed our stay immensely. The lunch and dinner menu had many wonderful items but my favorite was the tea in the afternoon. It was one of the most relaxing, wonderful stays away from home in a long time. Will definitely be back for more.

We travelled from Canada to visit this amazing property . Firstly , it’s location is spectacular . The hotel is OLD WORLD CHARM , definitely different from most hotels. The fact that the owners are present on the property and visible assures for top quality service . The superb service combined with the immaculate kept property , makes this hotel so exceptional . The rooms are very comfortable with every amenity possible. The front desk staff are so helpful , and aim to please in every way . The dining room is classic old world service and the food is beautifully presented as well as delicious . The breakfast buffet is fabulous with every imaginable variety of food . Excellent service ,beautiful rooms , delicious food , magnificent scenery and surroundings, makes this hotel an excellent choice for any holiday . A truly magical outstanding hotel !!!!!!! Highly recommended!!!

This hotel follows the days of elegance and although very modern in the way it functions it is like stepping back to a time that the guest was the most important consideration. Family run since 1908 it retains the splendour and the family influence can be seen in every aspect of the functioning of the hotel. The public areas have an air of sophistication lost in many modern hotels and the Restaurant served delicious food both for dinner as well as breakfast. During our stay a Buffet Dinner was arranged and the variety on display was beyond belief. A real credit to all of the catering staff as well as the dining room team. Most of the family responsible for running the hotel introduced themselves without being over familiar which made one think it was their pleasure to serve you and you certainly did not feel just another number. The rooms take you to another era, very classical but also very efficient as well as upholding the expected Swiss cleanliness within. It was only a brief visit but one we shall remember for a long time and if you prefer a wonderful location with lots of added extras, this is the place for you. Very highly recommended. We visited this hotel for breakfast. Perfect breakfast service. Breakfast chief - manager Walter did his best anb organized it on the highest level. Also very nice service team - Sergio, Fabio and other guys. We'll come again for it! Stronhly recommended for visit.

Had Eloise visitied the Waldhaus Sils, she never would have returned to the Plaza in New York City. We stayed here four nights with our children and we are still swooning from the romance of it all. You want everyone you know and love to experience the way a hotel can be run and I wanted to hug every owner and staff member upon leaving. The place is lovingly run with such excellence and hospitality. It feels a bit like you've traveled back in time to an era where hotels were more authentic, when things came directly from the heart and with great style. The live orchester, after-dinner drinks and family games we played, the sleigh ride into the Fex valley, the conversations with other lovely guests we met, the spa, the incredibly lovely service at dinner from Roberto and that breath-taking view of Sils and the mountains from our room will be family memories forever. I hope we are lucky enough to be able to return. The Waldhaus is a truly special place.
