Très bel établissement à moins de 30 minutes de Fribourg. L'accueil était très bien, la chambre spacieuse et bien équipée. Un très bon petit-déjeuner à disposition. Nous avons dîner sur place c'était parfait. Pas de souci de compréhension, le boss parle allemand français et anglais.
Nous recommandons cet hôtel à l'écart de la ville. Si nous retournons dans cette région, sans hésitation nous reprendrons la chambre et le repas.

It was very cool to sit outside and dine in the evening, watching the forest and sunset. We ordered a platter of appetizers, beef cheek, baby pork and dessert. Every dish is rich, full-bodied and melt-in-your-mouth, not to be missed😌 The room is very bright and clean, with a balcony🍀 The service is also cordial and warm❤️

Nice location, friendly people, clean rooms but basic, there was a TV but no signal, refrigerator available, cozy restaurant, a limited menu but tasty. Also pricey. Breakfast standard. I was there for 3 nights and on the 1st and 2nd day I was able to provide what I wanted for sandwiches for breakfast. The 3rd day it was not asked and it was a bit little.

Das Hotel liegt sehr in einer ruhigen Lage und bietet einige Parkplätze vor dem Haus. Es ist familiär und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und behandelt während des Aufenthalts. Das Personal unglaublich freundlich, zuvorkommend und sehr aufmerksam (nochmal Danke für den tollen Service) mit familiärem Flair. Große Auswahl beim Frühstücksbuffet. Getrãnke und Eier werden an den Tisch seviert. Am Ankunftstage haben wir im Restaurant des Hauses gegessen: absolut zu empfehlen! Regionale Gerichte mit einer guten Weinkarte und ... gute Laune, die alles noch erholsamer und achöner macht. Das renovierte, sehr saubere Zimmer war gross und ansprechend, das Bad war ebenfalls geräumig. Die Verdunkelung durch die Vorhänge war für die kurzen Tage im Oktober ok, die abendliche Beleuchtung im Zimmer ebenfalls. W-lan war meh als ok. Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt gut gefallen, wir würden das Hotel wieder buchen.

Zeer rustig en afgelegen verblijf met twee prachtige hosts die er alles aan doen om je een "thuis"-gevoel te geven. Ruime en propere kamer met eigen badkamer. Ideale plek om mooie natuurwandelingen te maken. Beperkte maar kwalitatieve menukaart. Wie van wildgerechten houdt: hier moet je zijn.

Nach einem wunderbaren schwarzkurztripp , voller Vorfreude auf einen wunderschönen Landgasthausaufenthalt im Grünen Baum, folgte eine Enttäuschung nach der anderen. Beginnend als Hotelgast, unfreundlicher Empfang, genervte Gastgeber, auf die Frage zur Mittagszeit nach einer kleinen Vesper, war die Antwort: Aufgrund der Feier nicht gewünscht. Und das in einem total arroganten Ton. Zum Abendessen, auf das wir uns freuten, den Tisch hatten wir vorbestellt, folgte die zweite Überraschung. Ich bestellte Bärlauchgnoccis mit Gemüse, wohlgemerkt, für 19 Euro. Serviert wurde, 5 Gnoccis auf Dosenerbsen. Als ich dies bemängelte, hiess es, ich hätte es gleich sagen sollen, dass ich kein Gemüse mag. Und dass in einem mehr als unfreundlichen Ton, keinerlei Verständnis, keinerlei Zuvorkommenheit, was ich in einem hochpreisigen Lokal erwarte und kein Espresso aufs Haus, weil man sich nicht wohlfühlte. Wohlgemerkt 19 Euro. Alles in allem, nie wieder Grüner Baum Simonswald und die Gastwirte sollten mal einen Kurs für gute Gastgeber absolvieren. Diese Arroganz kann man sich nur in diesem Dorf erlauben...
