With the unclear or even confusing (BusCoachResort ) signages before we could arrive at the resort , it was already a little fruatrating ...but from the moment when we finally arrived for checked in at the Front Office , our staycation at this resort seriously kick started off on the wrong foot. The front desk staff barely acknowledging most guests as we arrived. It took what felt like forever to check in which was supposedly 3pm , however in view of the unclear signages for parking , we only arrived at 4.15pm thinking that it should be a quick swift that we would get our room but when we finally got our room keys, it was close to 6pm , and we were given "all the excuses" besides rooms are not ready due to delay in housekeeping...then last excuse was "lapse in booking" by a non chinese Front office male staff . Yes i must admit the Sanctuary King room was the only perk us up with the spectacular serene lake view. And then we thought since hving enountered so much of hassle upon checking in which had already depleted our energy ..we kind of thought maybe we will do in room dining ( to enjoy the room view ) but upon clicking on the icon for in room dining ,we were however not able to get access to in room dining menu as repeatedly clicking on the in room dining were just advertisments . To add on ..there was not even a mini bar menu to be found in the room nor on the TV screen icons ... Also ,we were not given clear instructions about the dining options within the resort , we then only discovered the restaurant that will be serving us the breakfast next morn actually also serves dinner buffet but by then it was close to 730pm after having explored out with most food joints that were ady closing between 7pm to 8pm in Zoo or Birds Paradise... However ..I must say , from the moment we entered the resort restaurant, the F&B team really made up for our entire day of unpleasant encounter upon checking in , their hospitality smile and service going the extra smile...kudos to the F&B team with special mention to Uzair and Rohini ...who really make our entire dining experience so much more pleasant and enjoyable . We were really hoping for a relaxing experience resort staycation experience but the lack of basic service ( Front office team seem not able to handle the guests queries or rather appease the guests ) at the Front Office team immediately soured our mood. Not what we expected for a “luxury” resort stay. And not much of recovery marketing action was initiated with only a call to offer an extended late check out .... I am sure the management team would have already heard the guests grouses by the evening especially for an Opening day . And in view of our profession , we wanted to have the 1st hand experience at the luxury resort before recommending to our clients or guests ..with this experience I can only say I have reservations about the resort being able to deliver what they intended to...

On the first day of opening, because it was a new hotel, the taxi didn't know the hotel entrance and dropped us off at the zoo entrance. I called the hotel and the front desk patiently guided us on how to get there. It was easy to find, with signposts everywhere. Because it was the first day of opening, we were given flowers and champagne, and the service staff were very enthusiastic. Because we were traveling with a child, the hotel also upgraded us to a larger twin room for free. There are still many places around the hotel that are not yet complete and are still under renovation. You can see a lot of cute little monkeys running around on the fence. At night, there will be some big snails crawling on the ground, surrounded by birds and frogs. Feels like sleeping in a forest. The swimming pool on the 5th floor rooftop is also great. There are many trees and plants planted on the other side, and you can watch the sunrise in the morning, which is very beautiful. Although there are some minor issues that need to be debugged when the business first opens, the service staff are trying their best to meet the requirements. The hotel is environmentally friendly and does not provide bottled drinking water, but there is a filtered water dispenser in the room, which allows you to choose between cold and hot water, which is very convenient. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from various zoos, which is very convenient if you are going to the zoo.

We booked two rooms in total and arrived at the hotel at three o'clock. There was no porter or front desk staff to ask us about check-in. After we sent our passports to the front desk, they asked us to wait in the lobby. At 4:30, they told us that the first room was ready for occupancy. At 7 o'clock, the second room had not been cleaned yet, so we were asked to go to dinner first. We complained and asked to see the front desk manager, but there was no manager at the front desk. Finally, we said we would not stay in the hotel and wanted to check out, and they gave us two buffet dinners. The guest next to us also waited for 2 hours and still couldn't check in, so he finally checked out. The hotel's natural environment is impeccable, located in the tropical rainforest. The architectural style maintains Banyan Tree's style of returning to nature. The bedding is very comfortable to sleep on, and the view of the swimming pool on the rooftop is particularly good. The hotel has a special car to go to the five surrounding parks, which is very convenient. However, the hotel opened in too much of a hurry. Many places in the corridors were still under construction. I felt that there was a layer of dust on the tables in the rooms. There were not enough service staff. There was no one to answer the phone at the front desk of a five-star hotel. It took two days to deliver a toothbrush. The hotel breakfast was exactly the same for two days without any changes. The restaurant was crowded and I didn't know what the waiters were doing. It seemed that they were all newbies who had not been properly trained before they started working. I can’t imagine how bad the hotel service and reception would be if reception was fully liberalized.
