Beautiful location right off the water. Clean, comfy rooms and a lovely breakfast. Don't hesitate to book here. They have an elevator and there is a rooftop solarium and a terrace garden. Easy walk to many sights. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Wonderful small hotel with great attention to guests. The continental breakfast is abundant and very inexpensive. The rooftop lounging area has great views as if one was on an ocean cruise. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is very quiet. A perfect location on Ortygia. Restaurants are close, the market just down the block and all services are easily reached. Only the laundry is expensive and worthwhile in emergency.

Dark, small room and hotel. Interesting experience staying in a convent. Nice location. Staff friendly enough. Expensive overall. Breakfast was ok - some choice. The location is quiet for walking. It was an ok experience for one night but wouldn't stay longer.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at this old convent in Ortigia, the old part of Siracusa. We were given a room on the third floor, with a small balcony overlooking the Ionian sea and, to the north, Etna looming in the distance behind the city (about 50 miles away). I believe this room had the best view of any place we’ve stayed. David and Cinzia at the front desk were extremely helpful, and recommended several good restaurants during our stay. This hotel was an ideal base for us to explore Siracusa by foot, or to just hang out and enjoy the view from our balcony. If you manage to get a room with a sea view, sunrise is not to be missed!

Domus Mariae Benessere is my home at Ortigia since many years. Also this time it was a WONDERFUL holiday. Suor Rosamaria, Cinzia, Davide and all the staff are so gentle, quick, professional and lovely. The location is fantastic, in front at the seaside, in the middle of the old town, in a very beautiful hotel. Thank you Domus Mariae!!!

The DMB was one of the surprise highlights of our recent Sicily trip. The sense of arrive that we received from Cinzia and Davide was phenomenal! Not only did they provide an over the top arrival experience but they were constantly available to make us feel at home in this amazingly comfortable boutique hotel. Their location provides great views and it's close to anything you want to see. Their breakfasts were over the top. Can't wait to go back and we again want to thank you C & D for all you warmth! Je tiens vraiment à informer les voyageurs que cet hôtel est excellent ! Situé à Ortigia face à la mer, cet hôtel est idéalement situé. Mais c'est surtout la gentillesse du personnel qui m a le plus touchée ! On se sent bien au Domus Mariae Benessere. C'est également un très bel hôtel bien meublé et d une propreté irréprochable...vraiment que des qualités ! Je recommande !! Sarah
