This property has it all! Parking, although not free, was close by and safe. The rooftop terrace we enjoyed immensely and the room was very nice. The island is loaded with restaurants and shopping, everything is within a short walk and very safe. We also enjoyed a boat trip around the island. Our host Manuela was very nice and friendly as well!

Porta Marina B&B is a gem. We were fortunate enough to have a room that faced the port and were able to enjoy beautiful vistas. The room was comfortable. Each room has a unique decor with older antiques. There was even a small wall hanging refrigerator. The breakfast was wonderful. Every table had fresh meat, cheese, pastries and fruit that were assembled on a three tier platter each morning. Hard boiled eggs, rolls and bread were also available. Giovanna was the person who checked us in and prepared our breakfast each morning. She was wonderful about giving us maps, directions and advice about the sights. She even packed up our morning leftovers so we had something to eat during the day. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Giovanna is. She made us feel right at home. If you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you. There are a good number of stairs to get to your room. Overall, I would highly recommend Porta Marina.

Excellent location and views
Really good.
Location, view,friendliness,cleanliness and condition in Ortigia Portamarina makes us want to get back asap. Limited hours at reception but all our needs were taken care of.

The property is located very conveniently and one can access the entire island by foot. The reason I booked the property was because of its large exclusive balcony terrace facing the water. The view was great and the staff was quite friendly. There was no good place to sit on the terrace as the iron bench was rusted and had no cushions. I asked the staff for the same but never received any. Also the bathroom had a fowl smell. There was no ventilation fan in the bathroom either. Overall still had a very nice time in Ortigia.

We had a great time in Ortigia. The hotel is in a really convenient location and close to all the restaurants and shops. Our stay was really comfortable and the staff was lovely and really accommodating to our needs.

Great place to enjoy Siracusa
Giovanna and Manuale, both of the ladies, made the stay an exceptional experience. They were always ready to help with suggestions about the food and beach places that were out of the reach of tourists and were very supportive during the entire stay. By the way, the suite with the terrace provides a stunning view of the sea and sunset. The property is close to the city center as well to the main bus lines.
