Hotel Mon Repos

Beautiful location, lovely pool and very friendly accommodating owner and staff, hotel grounds are lovely feels like a lovely oasis. Breakfast was good nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are small but clean and functional.. less than a 5 minute walk to old town but far enough out if the way to be peaceful. Would highly recommend this place, and if we was to ever return to sirmione I would stay here again. Thank you for our lovely stay 😊

Re-visited the beautiful Mon Repos in Sirmione for a weeks relaxation. Since our visit last year they have invested in new windows throughout the hotel, which really opens up the breakfast room and views of Lake Garda to start your day. Bedrooms have also been refreshed in simple soft colours and new lighting and air conditioning, providing a cool escape from the sun and heat. The Mon Repos is a tranquil relaxing destination with a short stroll down to Sirmione to access boat trips, the castle and a host of restaurants, or a short stroll uphill for Jamaica beach and the ruins of a 2,000 year old Roman villa. Lunch & drinks are available poolside with a choice of pizza or salads and a range of beers or aperol when you want a break from the lounger. We’ll be back next year, again!

Mon Repos is located out of the town, a short walk from the busy centre. Our room faced the lake and had a small balcony. it was basic but clean (although the curtains were hanging off the rail and looked unsightly). The breakfast was very good and everyone was helpful and friendly. However one of the reasons for chosing Mon Repos was the pool but it was unheated and with not covered at night - it was freezing. Consequently no one was using it. I was so disappointed.

Pro: location is amazing except for the drive through the town & castle gate. The grounds are beautiful with spacious parking. The view from the terrace is fantastic. Breakfast is very good. Appreciated the manager speaking English. she was kind and helpful . I enjoyed the family pets. Con: the room is very small ( couldn’t fit 2 suitcases unless you unpacked) room is dated (key lock), fridge just chilled not cold, couldn’t find way to turn on overhead fan, shower is very small. Getting to/from the hotel is a nail biting drive. You have to drive through town, people don’t get out of your way or watch that your car is trying to go through a very tight space. Instead they try squeezing through too. Of course this is not the fault of the hotel but people should know when they book that this is what it will be like.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the old town gate. The hotel entrance is an impressive arched gateway with a gravel drive leading to the front door. The hosts are very friendly and all the staff are lovely. We had a ground floor room facing away from the lake view. The room was spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. There was a small balcony with sun canopy, a fridge, TV with Italian channels, ceiling fan, and high level air conditioner unit which worked fine. There were four euro electric sockets, all with something plugged in, the host provided a splitter for our phone chargers. The bathroom was also spotlessly clean, with a four piece suite and shower over the bath. There was a multi national electric socket in the bathroom (which even fitted my UK shaver). We ate breakfast in the garden every day, swam in the pool and used the sun beds of which there were always several free. Drinks and snacks were available at the pool. We also ate a lovely evening meal in the garden on one night (we would have eaten in more often but there’s so much choice in town). This is a lovely place away from traffic and the noise of town but within a few minutes walk.

Absolutely lovely hotel set in amazing grounds. Wonderful pool and bar area set amongst the olive and cypress trees. In old town Sirmione minutes from two great swimming beaches. We had great views of the lake from our balcony. Very comfortable room with good aircon...much need while we were there! Good choice of breakfast which can be taken in the dining room or in the garden. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The two hotel dogs were lovely. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to go back again.
