One of the best experiences you can have in visiting the Syunik region of Armenia is staying at the Hotel Basen. The entire staff is extremely welcoming and provides their guest with the best care possible. They have delicious food offerings and can provide guests with a taste of the local area cuisine. The guest rooms are spacious with amenities found in a hotel in a larger city. They can also arrange guided tours/hikes and sightseeing of the area. A huge bonus for English speakers is owner speaks English as does many of the staff.

It is a very beautiful place. The rooms we had were spacious, very clean and quit. We had a very good rest. We had both dinner and breakfast and both were very good. I would especially thank the staff of the hotel. Both behind the counter as the people who were serving our meals. They were very, very friendly and it was a distinct pleasure to have stayed here. I will surely come back some time!

Even though we didn’t stay at the hotel, they organised a tour to the Ukhtasar petroglyphs for us. Our guide was very nice and spoke very good English, and the driver was excellent. Several times, he stopped on the way to show us interesting flowers and animals. When we arrived at the petroglyphs, we could take as much time as we wanted there. After asking, our guide even walked up to the top of the mountain with us, which took about 2 hours (return trip) extra, although this was not part of the usual trip that we paid for. So we can’t say anything about the rooms at the hotel, but we can highly recommend this tour! Thank you very much :-)!

So schlicht dieses Hotel auch ist, es verdient eine grosse Empfehlung – für die gastfreundlichen, herzlichen Betreiber*innen, das köstliche regionaltypische Essen sowie die grossen, sauberen und hellen Zimmer, die sich auf drei oder vier gleichartige Häuser verteilen. Das Hotel hat Atmosphäre, und man fühlt sich hier auf Anhieb wohl. Dass es in sowjetischer Zeit eine Jugendherberge gewesen sein soll, davon zeugt nur noch das verwaiste Portierhäuschen

Schönes Hotel, super Betten, große Zimmer und gutes Frühstück, Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort und haben uns wohlgefühlt. Direkt am Hotel ist die Infostation für die Stadt. Supernette und sehr hilfsbereite Dame. Uns wurden Touren vermittelt und es gab eine kleine Stadtführung.

Самый лучший отель в Сисиане. Очень чистый ,предоставляют все для дичной гигиены ( пилка для ногтей , ватные диски,тапочки , полотенца ) . Номера не такие ка сейчас на фото наоборот отремонтированные чистые . Расположен в самом центре города . Есть хорошая дорога с отеля в Татев и в Караундж . Прекрасная кухня Самый вкусный шашлык в городе . Очень атмосферая территория . Отель в общем по 10 бальной шкале 10 из 10-и . Спасибо за приветстливый персонал , вкусную еду и уют который вы предоставляете .
