2W Lake

This was our 3rd visit to Skaneateles, 2nd stay at 2W Lake B&B, but 1st under the hospitality of Clark Maher. As visitors from central California, we love experiencing the beauty of the Finger Lakes Region, especially in late fall and winter. 2W Lake is ideally located with stunning views of the lake and walking access to all that the village of Skaneateles has to offer. In addition, what a great starting point from which to explore the surrounding lakes, wineries, and natural landscapes that abound in this beautiful part of the country. Clark was a welcoming host from the day of booking to our goodbyes on the day we left. Not only does he prepare delicious breakfasts each morning, he is an engaging individual interested in his guest’s varying backgrounds and experiences. He even delayed breakfast on Sunday morning to enable my wife to attend mass. His knowledge of the area is deep and his recommendations for dining and sightseeing excursions proved to be spot on. With the grace of God this will not be our last visit to Skaneateles and when we return we will certainly stay at 2W Lake. Mike and MaryAnn Nipomo, California

Beautiful B&B! Unfortunately we could only stay one night. Clark, the Inn Keeper has impeccable taste and has payed attention to even the smallest details at the inn. We had a warm welcome, a home made frittata breakfast w/ fresh berries and a lovely chat. We were a last minute reservation at the tale end of a snow storm yet we were welcomed like old friends.

We had a wonderful winter weekend here. Clark is the consummate host and his home is lovely, so tasteful. Excellent beds and linens, gourmet breakfasts. Sparkling clean, enjoy all the gorgeous windows and rainbow prisms from the leaded glass. Stunning.

Thank you, Clark, for providing us with a wonderful experience during our recent stay at your B&B 2W Lake in Skaneateles, NY. The B&B was just a stone's throw away from the lake, fantastic restaurants, and charming shops. Clark attended to every detail, from reaching out in advance to inquire about food allergies, to offering restaurant recommendations, and warmly greeting us upon arrival with additional suggestions to start our weekend. The property was impeccably clean and equipped with all necessary amenities. The breakfasts were outstanding. Clark respected our privacy but was readily available if needed. Thank you for a fantastic weekend. You and your furry companion Harvey made us feel incredibly welcome and like old friends. We thank you for the cherished memories and look forward to returning soon.

We loved this B&B. It is a wonderful older house, completely redone with the finest of everything. Lots of great art and a great host. When we came down for our included breakfast, he had set up a table for two looking right out to the street and lake. He had prepared a delicious breakfast, just for us, which included juice, French toast fruit and sausage. Perfect!! We were sorry to have to leave so soon; I wanted to spend the day sitting on the front porch with a good book. Linda from Reno, NV

This was a great find. Clark, our host, was welcoming, friendly and more than willing to offer suggestions on what to do or where to go around town. Not to mention, his breakfasts were delicious. The room and house are very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is in a great location, just a short walk to shops, restaurants, and the lake. We would recommend 2 W Lake to our friends.
