Hotel Amalia is a friendly, inviting accommodation. Alexandra greeted us with a warm welcome and offered us all of her knowledge of the events and things to see in Skopelos. The room was clean and an appropriate size for three adults. It was refreshed every day and all staff who encountered us were kind. However the highlight of our stay was the bartender, Kostas, and his delicious and thoughtful cocktails at the pool-side bar. He displayed enthusiasm when mixing these drinks, often explaining the science behind each flavour profile, which he developed during his time as a bar owner in Athens. He took time to connect with each of us (and all guests) by learning our names and what bases we liked best. He shared stories, jokes and wisdom (only donkeys drink water after sunset). He really made our experience at the hotel an 11/10.

A very nice experience. Discovered this hotel in 2019 and five years later it is the same classy hotel. I really love the architecture of the lobby and levels disposition. The corky rooms that have solid wood floors, sliding solid wood doors (treat them, please, with respect, I think that are welcoming guest since the 60, really nice old sliding doors with vintage accessories) I really love the experience at Amalia hotel skopelos. I also appreciate cleaning them. They do a great job and without proper cleaning I couldn't enjoy the quality of the materials used in the rooms. If you find this comment useful and decide to stay at Amalia, please take care of the doors and floors. I will come back some time, and if it will have the same finishes it will make me very happy.

Excellent choice, staff are amazing and poolside amenities are amazing. Unfortunately only bottled beers, but like most of the islands bars I guess, however cocktails are made to order and are superb. Draft lager (Mythos) coming soon (July 15th), along with food.

This hotel is fantastic, very affordable and has great big rooms which are very clean. The customer service skills are amazing by all staff and would highly recommend staying here. There are many beautiful restaurants, cafes and bars as well as great accessibility to public transport would strongly recommend, looking forward to my next day.

We booked this hotel for our second week in the Greek islands having 1st stayed at skiathos. Nana Perganti and her receptionist staff were wonderful helpful when we had a small hiccup with our sons AirPods. Help was given to locate them and sort the problem as so as we had worked out what had happened. The rooms were cleaned regularly and fresh towels provided each day which was not asked for tea coffee in the room was always topped up and the air on was great in each room too. The hotel pool while very private could get very hot as there was no way for wind to breeze through as it’s enclosed on all sides by this was the only small thing we could fault. Thanks for a great relaxing time😁👍🏻👍🏻

The provided amenities were below expectations and the daily price was over estimated. Unfortunately, we paid 85 euros + 3 euros taxes per day to stay in a room in front of the road with no parking lot as well as no breakfast included.

How on earth this hotel gets any bookings is beyond belief. It is like a time warp back to the 80s - decor, bathroom and facilities, the hotel is in dire need of a refurbishment. Although the reception staff are friendly, we didn’t like anything else that this hotel offered. It felt dirty and definitely not as described. Would not recommend.

Excellent location, very convenient for holidays, within walking distance to the town centre. Some rooms are very nice and comfortable, especially the ones looking at the pool. The host is very polite and caring and makes every effort to offer a very good service to the guests.

I couldn't find many hotels at the time of booking, so I ended up staying at Amalia. It's very close to the port, beach and restaurants so it's a perfect location. The staff were professional and friendly, who were happy to answer any questions. The swimming pool is very clean and spacious enough for around several people. There's also an outdoor shower that can be used prior to getting into the pool along with toilets which is great. The hotel itself is very clean, and so was my room. The rooms are cleaned daily, but you can use a 'do not disturb sign' if need be. I arrived 4 hours before the check in time, but they managed to find me a room within 30 minutes, a perfect start to my stay and also very kind of them. I slept well, the bed and pillow was comfortable and I don't really have any complaints, but there are definitely minor things that can be improved. Minor Improvements: Room decor and furniture are old, at the same time some parts of the room were more modern such as the TV, sliding balcony doors, etc. It would be great to see more modern furniture and bed frame, but it's not really a big deal. It just might be a shocker to those who are used to more modern up to date hotels. The breakfast is disappointing. I feel there isn't enough choice. It would be good if they included cooked food such as bacon, eggs, sausages, pancakes, waffles, etc. Also a cover/tray for all of the food since it's out in the open. The yogurt left out should also be left in a fridge or cooler of some sort since it gets a little bit too warm for my liking. The aircon worked with no issues, though I felt it was a little bit 'slow' to fully cool down the room which usually took around 20 minutes. The shower pressure was perfect but the hot water takes around 5-7 minutes to reach a hot temperature. Initially you think there's no hot water left regardless the time of the day you shower, but you have to give it some time to kick in. I don't think I've ever come across a shower that takes that long to warm up. It was hot on every single occasion though, so not a big issue, but management should probably inform guests about this so that they aren't fooled into thinking there's no hot water left like I initially was with my first shower. There is a bar in the hotel, but it wasn't stocked at all. So for anyone hoping to get drinks or snacks at the hotel, you'll need to go across the road to the supermarket to get your own. Overall I've had a pleasant stay and would definitely stay again since the hotel gave me everything I really needed.
