We were 4 and stayed at the Rivers overnight on Friday 26th May. When we arrived the terrace of the Hotel/Restaurant was heaving with people enjoying food and drinks in the sunshine on the terrace overlooking the canal. I was received at reception with courteousy and kindness whilst stressing about parking somewhere, but was quickly sorted and advised. We settled into our 2 very modern, spotlessly clean and well stocked rooms overlooking the canal. We ate a hearty dinner on the terrace and by 20:00 all of the street became peace and tranquility as last servings were at 19:30. Perhaps for the benefit of neighbours. The 9 roomed accommodation was a delight, and breakfast was ample and delicious. I would totally recommend Sluis and this Hotel especially. Many thanks Rivers !!

My wife and I wanted to go to Sluis for 3 nights and stayed there from 21/05/2024 to 24/05/2024. Almost everything was very good. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and a nice location in Sluis center. Everything was really clean and the beds were perfect. The room was cleaned perfectly. Due to a defect (the carpet on the first floor was visibly dirty) I gave Very good instead of perfect.

Friendly owner and staff always up for a chat. Good beds, beautifully maintained hotel room, tasty breakfast, delicious dinner. The only point of criticism was that the carpet in the hallway was unfortunately full of stains. In short, a great hotel for a great price.

Beautiful room with a view of the water. Perfect shower. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking at 200 m at €5 per day. We also ate in the hotel restaurant and this is also recommended. Sluis is also a very pleasant town with many shops and restaurants. We will definitely go back there!

There is no elevator. You must carry your suitcases upstairs yourself. If you have difficulty walking, it is best to choose a room on the 1st floor. The room was very clean, but... The mattress in room 1 is completely bulging. The sides hang down. The room was also far too warm so we had to sleep with the window open. And unfortunately this hotel is located close to dancing Jopie. Noise all night until 4:00 in the morning. The hotel staff was friendly and understanding of our problems, but a solution was not found. Room 4 would have a firmer mattress, they gave us as a tip when checking out. Breakfast is buffet style and offers just enough variety. The floors at the buffet were sticky (2 days apart). If you have already booked, choose the hotel's parking formula.

When I read the comments I thought I was going to a friendly hotel, that was not the case. The kindness of the bosses is non-existent, no hello. Access to the hotel is from the outside and you have to cross the restaurant and the terrace, the stairs are very steep. The breakfast coffee is disgusting, for the salmon there were only two slices without restocking. Otherwise on the positive side very clean, right in the center

Disinterested staff. Filthy carpet in the hallway. Coffee and tea maker in the room but without coffee and tea. Mediocre breakfast with bad coffee and little choice. The fresh orange juice is a plus. Beds not nice with mattresses that are too soft, pillows that are too hard and duvets that are too hot. The temperature in the room cannot be regulated and the furnishings are unfortunately poor. Just sad really...
