The hotel is neat and the price-performance ratio is good

Schönes altes Fachwerkhaus mit großer gemütlicher gutbürgerlicher Gaststätte am Marktplatz. Verwinkelt in den oberen Stockwerken sind 12 Fremdenzimmer. Mein Einzelzimmer war recht frisch renoviert (Tapeten, Teppich, Badarmaturen) und in gutem Zustand. Pingelige Leute könnten sich über altmodische Fliesen im Bad oder abblätternde Farbe am weiß lackierten 80er Jahre Holz-Bettgestell mokieren, aber alles war sauber und wer sich bei ibis wohler fühlt als in einem familiären Altstadt -Gasthof, wird hier ohnehin nicht buchen. Dusche war erst warm nach 6 Uhr morgens, Frühstück gibt es ab 7 Uhr entweder (vermutlich bei besserer Auslastung) im eigenen Restaurant oder im Café nebenan, wo ich war: dort etwas sterile Raststätteneinrichtung aber ordentliche 4 Frühstücke zur Auswahl und freundliche Bedienung.

Very friendly owners welcome you in this very beautiful, old house, right in the heart of Soest on the market. With a room directly facing the market, it was perfect for someone who loves this kind of atmosphere. It is certainly livelier outside the door during the All Saints' Fair or Christmas market, but we were guests here from the beginning of October 3rd to 7th and it was relaxed, quiet and cozy. The breakfast, included in the price of the double room, is plentiful and tasty - nothing is missing. The restaurant offers upscale, home-style cooking with an eye to sustainability and regional products. The recommendation of the Pälmer family, a roast beef with onions, prepared medium rare with potato dumplings and dark sauce, was a poem. In addition, at the time of our stay there was a Bavarian week that you can really call that and not just a copy because everyone else does it. The room was spacious enough for a stay of 4 nights, the bathroom with shower was clean and decently furnished. We can only recommend the "Wilder Mann" and would like to stay there again if we are staying nearby.
