"This was my second time at Hemus , staff were extremely friendly and rooms were nice as always, it’s a 4 star hotel with slightly dated fitments so pls manage expectations but it’s good value for money and great connections to city center. Highly recommend for value for money"
"The hotel is not far from the airport. Fast check-in. Attentive staff. There is tea, coffee, water in the room. Breakfasts are good. Special thanks to the woman who serves breakfast. Very attentive."
"Unfortunately, there was a significant incident of cleaning the bathroom in the room, I expected to receive compensation for it but we did not receive it. Therefore, the service and cleanliness are rated low. I choose not to share the details of what happened so as not to harm the hotel too much."
"Villa-style apartment, clean environment, complete facilities, can cook, the room is very spacious, there is a desk,
There is a market opposite, two stops from the subway, a little distance to walk,"
"A fine airport hotel
So you have an early morning flight to catch at Sofia airport. This is a good place to stay overnight. They have a decent restaurant, the rooms are comfortable and they have a reliable shuttle service to the airport. I think that’s all you really need. The style is for young hip people, but if you’re old and not hip, it still works fine."
"The hotel is a little inconvenient for people without a car. The hotel is about 300 meters away from the subway terminal, but when I went to the subway station at 5 pm, I felt that there were few people inside and was a little scared. Opposite is Metro, but the front desk told me that I could not shop there without a membership card. I could only eat in the hotel restaurant, which tasted average but was quite expensive.
I had to travel early the next day, and the hotel prepared breakfast bags, which were very good."
"Overall, I am very pleasantly surprised by the facilities and amenities the hotel has provided. I originally got a supreme double room, but due to some issues with my original room, I was upgraded to a suite. (Note: I was not yet checked in at the hotel when my room got changed.) The room was pretty clean, there were some finishing parts that need an upgrade and the shower definitely needs a curtain because water was splashing everywhere and only a glass at one sode didn’t do much, but overall the suite was pretty nice. My favorite part was the TV. I could easily go online to watch the reality shows I missed while I was away."
"It was a good hotel in general. It was clean, the shower had good water pressure and hot water, which was very nice. The only disappointing thing was that when I entered the room, there were cigarette butts left behind, probably from the previous guest, and there was a half-drunk drink left in the minibar in the fridge. However, they dealt with the situation properly after I explained it to them."

Great
GGuest UserThe Junior Suite was wonderful, essentially a studio apartment with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, large windows, a private balcony seating area and extensive shelf space. The bathroom was very modern with a very nice tall shower. The beds were very comfortable and the room was large, with a couch. Definitely a great place for both short and long stays.
There were a few small inconveniences in the room, but nothing that affected our stay (water seemed to leak over the door of the shower onto the shower mat; toilet seat was very stiff and loud to open/close; closets were very wide but oddly short to accommodate extra drawers, so too small to hang dresses in full length; the automatic lighting inside the closets did not turn off correctly; and our key card stopped working in the middle of our stay and had to be fixed at the reception). The hotel is very close to a tram stop, so it's easy to get into the city center, and it's also very close to the Cultural Center. It is a bit more of a trek to walk into the city, but still possible in 20 minutes or so. The hotel is located on a small street off the main road and the sidewalk leading up to it is very narrow and in disrepair. You would not guess that the inside of the hotel is so sleek and modern based on the older surrounding area.

Great
KKMSI recently stayed at the Sofia Novotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to unwind after a busy day. The beds were perfect—not too firm and not too soft, ensuring a great night’s sleep.
The hotel’s location is fantastic, situated just across the street from a shopping mall, which made it incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and entertainment. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile.
The breakfast was excellent, offering a good variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day.
The only downside was the gym, which is quite small and lacks heavy free weights and a pull-up bar. While it’s fine for a basic workout, those looking for a more comprehensive fitness setup might be disappointed.
All in all, Sofia Novotel is a great choice for its location, comfort, and service, but fitness enthusiasts might find the gym facilities limited. I would definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserThe attitude of the receptionist was unprofessional, rude and unacceptable.
For one hour, the whole hotel didn’t know how to charge my credit card, as their credit card machine doesn’t follow EU rules for 3D security, thus jeopardising clients’ private data. I wasted a full hour on the phone with my bank, only to find out that the hotel doesn’t follow rules on how to securely handle credit card data. The management kept telling me that it’s my fault, despite the fact I never before have had problems with card payments before.
Breakfast food was decent, with a choice between a couple of set menus.
The hotel was clean, rooms were quiet, and it was situated and in a convenient location, within 3-4 minutes from the nearest metro station.
Some of the photos on their site are dated, as the interior is different now.
GGuest UserThe location is in the center. Trams rumble right under the window from 3.30 am, so opening the window at night is not very convenient.
Breakfasts are good.
The rooms are tired: shower holders, flush buttons fall off.
The rooms are a bit dark, it is impossible to turn on a brighter light.
The linen is clean.
We were there in winter. The air in the room is very dry. Opening the window, despite the noise, did not help: at night, the throat and nose dried out so much that it hurt.
For this reason, we left 2 days early. We asked for a refund at least for the last night - they refused.

YYan YeeThe room is really clean and looks very new, which is very appealing. There is a locker in the room, won't be able to fit in a suitcase but a backpack is not an issue. The bathroom also look nice but the light is a little dim. The staff is very nice but pay attention to the night shift. I explicitly asked the front desk if I can check out at Early morning (5:20am) but when it's the time, there's no staff but only a notice saying he will be back. No one ever come back in 10 minutes and due to shortage of time I just left. However, if you do not Need to check in/out in weird time slots the overall experience is really nice.
BBeryl XuIt’s actually 🈶** in the hotel. So the parking fee is expensive. It’s about less than 100 RMB per night. Because the hotel is relatively cost-effective, you can actually ignore the outdated facilities. When checking in at the front desk, I was assigned to the second floor. I said I wanted a higher floor. There should be a manager next to me who can tell me that you have to ask for it. I said I have a request. I show them the requirements I wrote. Because of the word count requirement, I wrote it in Chinese on Ctrip. The other party immediately said that we couldn’t understand. I responded immediately. Don’t you have a translator? Then I reluctantly gave it to the sixth floor. 👌. When checking out, I especially want to praise the front desk with long brown hair. The service attitude is very good. I want to print out my car insurance policy. Everyone helped.

NNoi ChaOur stay at Hotel Budapest in Sofia was enjoyable and convenient. The hotel’s location is excellent—easily accessible and close to many key attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring the city.
The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, with a variety of well-prepared dishes that satisfied our expectations. However, the dinner service during New Year’s Eve was noticeably slower, likely due to the large number of guests celebrating the occasion. While the wait was understandable given the holiday rush, a bit more efficiency would have improved the experience.
Overall, Hotel Budapest offers great food, a prime location, and a welcoming atmosphere. With a little attention to service during peak times, it’s an excellent choice for a stay in Sofia!

GGuest UserI had a job at the hotel center, at the justice ministry, I could reach it in 10 minutes. When I arrived at 11 a.m., they asked for 30 euros for early check-in, although there were 7 rooms. The lamb meat products offered at breakfast were smoking, and when I asked the garçon there was no pig meat dendi.netlik. Turkish channels are not opened on TV. There are two towels, two shaving sets in the bathroom with cleaning products for hair and body.

AAlek MThe hotel has a spa and fitness center. Compared to Western European spas in hotels, here you might receive one towel if you ask at the spa reception. Otherwise there are no others on disposal and there is no water dispenser. You have to buy it or bring it with you. The saunas could be more clean, especially the steam sauna, which was very dirty in the evening. To swim in the pool you need to buy a swimming cap. The food at the breakfast was very delicious, compared to other experiences I made in Sofia. It could be maybe different every day, because the only difference was how the potatoes were prepared. In any case, you have a variety of food to eat and you will not be hungry. I was in another Ramada hotel and this one was on a lower level than the one in Bucharest and needs a renovation in the rooms or in the restaurant. The chairs were dirty there.
