Hotel Alpina Sölden - Adults Only

A couple of ex-pat colleagues and I spent a fantastic summer weekend in and around Sölden at this wonderful hotel. The staff were helpful and super friendly. They even gave me a special birthday treat. The location was handy to everything, including a bus stop for our travels further afield. We parked at the hotel for free and just walked everywhere. The hotel rooms were quiet and clean. The restaurant food was delicious! The wellness area looked amazing but we didn’t get to use it unfortunately because it’s only open in afternoons and evenings. (NB it’s clothes optional). If you stay in summer you get a Sommer Card which gives you free access to all of the lifts and gondolas and public transport. Amazing value! I’ll be back!!

This hotel is a first class family run hotel. The food is outstanding and the service wonderful. The Spa facilities are also extensive. We shall return to this well run hotel. There is also a complimentary ski bus. The staff couldn’t have been more pleasant

We are having a great time in Solden during our skiing holiday with friends. I want to say special thanks to front desk service provided by Sophie - she went above and beyond helping us with planning, booking, personal suggestions and even calling to a website to help me to book a window seat on my train to Zurich.

We have chosen this very good hotel because we stayed here before and were very satisfied then. The hotel still provides good quality and friendly service. It has been nicely renovated since our last stay. Modern and comfortable room. The food was delicious and the waiters were very friendly and helpful. It's located a little walk (some 8 minutes) from the gondola. With ski boots the few, rather steep meters to the main road and busstation can be a bit hazardous. There is a shuttle to the gondola though. Or you can hire a ski locker at the gondola at a 50% discount. One of the main reasons we came back to this hotel was the great wellness. Extensive facilities of very high quality and a cozy zen atmosphere. Here, unfortunately I have a negative remark. Although the sauna regulations (which are hanging in the wellness area) state that the use of electronic devices is prohibited (as in every wellness!), more than half of the guests were using their phones or tablets (inclusive ringing phones). For me it felt very uncomfortable, for obvious reasons (privacy, peace and quiet). When I approached some people, they just didn't care and kept using them. I spoke to the reception about this and they just said that they couldn't do much about it. So I asked for a compensation for the fact that I couldn't go to the wellness anymore because I was uncomfortable with it. Never seen or heard about it anymore during our stay and at check-out. On this point I think the service is very unprofessional . I hope that they take care of this issue. Otherwise, we unfortunately will never return to this very good hotel.

Me and my family of 5 people stayed at Alpina from December 27 th to January 3 th and we had a lovely time at the hotel and all their facilities. For example the lovely spa area and the nice bar with board games for the family. Every morning we had the best breakfast buffet with everything you could wish for. The dinners were amazing, high quality and absolutely the best staff! I enjoyed every second and felt safe and relaxed with the nice atmosphere, staff and energi :) Sophia

I stayed in hotel Alpina 18-25 Apr for the last ski week of the seasons. It was spring weather so we could not ski in.The hotel is located in a very good location between the 2 gondolas, but up a small hill- I have no idea how it is in the winter but if you are with some movement limitation consider this fact. It didn’t bother us as being in Center is a big advantage. I upgraded the room - and the ‘Otzdal” room was really great- had 2 large chairs, a very nice shower room and the whole decor is wood, we also had a small balcony overlooking the church …all is new and in great condition. There are no toiletries in the room apart from body/hair soap-not even a shower cap-so don’t forget to bring with you. as for the food- we took the deal including half board , it was well worth it!! The food was really good, great salad bar and nice choices. The staff was extremely nice and professional -thanks Sven!!!@And the food was presented beautifully. All in all it’s a really nice hotel to stay in Solden- thanks very much for that. I would give it 4 and half stars. Hope to see you next year.
