Likes A truly unique and impactful development embedded in the selva! Although the pictures look fairly impressive (online and ours) they really don’t do this place any justice. It needs to be seen in person!!! The attention to detail is simply fantastic - this is clearly a passion project. The grounds as well as the tree houses were immaculately presented - job well done! Despite being tree houses… the water pressure is excellent, there is plenty of hot water and even satellite internet, which was a welcome surprise. We stayed in the Deluxe Queen Suite, the room and particularly the bathroom must be seen. This tree house also comes with two additional viewing platforms above - which were an amazing surprise and gave a great purpose to our new GoPro. Dislikes Due to the open nature of the development (mesh/no glazed windows anywhere) there is little privacy. We felt the food and drink offering was a touch highly priced - certainly considering other similar properties in the area. Reviewing this would certainly increase revenue - we would have preferred to buy drinks at slightly lower prices at the property rather than making a beer run into town each day. Finally, giving the rooms a daily once over would make a huge difference to guest experience for little investment and/or time. Overall, we will recommend this place to everyone we know and look forward to returning in future ourselves!

🤗Peacefull dreamy haven😍 If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and unwind in nature's soothing embrace, then look no further. This place, nestled on the jungle's edge, offers the perfect sanctuary for those seeking tranquility and calm. The tree apartment we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. It's brand new, so every little detail was carefully crafted and modern. From the cozy bed to the stylish, spacious bathroom. But what truly made our stay memorable were the hosts. They were not only incredibly friendly and welcoming but also went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their warmth made us feel like part of their family, not just guests passing through. Our time here exceeded all expectations. We were able to recharge amidst nature's beauty while enjoying the comforts of a modern apartment. We can't wait to return and will definitely be recommending this hidden gem to all our friends looking for a peaceful retreat in the nature.

Excellent place, peaceful, surrounded by true nature, great night noises, pool, but the best is the owner/chef/barman/friend, Andres is a great guy with a great knowledge in coffee, food, nature, and music, you have a movie night at the "lobby" an d imagine the kind of detail in everything that even there you have home made pop corn, great experience if you love, wellness, peace of mind and nature.

We have had the most wonderful stay. Andres was such a welcoming and helpful host and has created something truly unique and magical in the Mexican jungle! The food has been delicious and fresh and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are incredible pieces of art! The bed was really comf and the fans helped keep us cool. We climbed up the actual treehouse ladder to the net canopy above the trees and had drinks watching the sunset, and relaxed in the jungle pool. One of our favourite places we've stayed on our 3 month trip. We can't recommend this place highly enough. thanks Andrés!|

Ikalar is a wonderful place, a perfect combination of nature and architecture. The tree houses are equipped with every comfort, elegant and well-kept. There is a swimming pool surrounded by tropical vegetation, wonderful, the only problem is the mosquitoes but it was obviously to be expected, we are in the jungle! It is also possible to climb onto the "roof" of the structure to look at the jungle from above: it is accessed via a ladder that is a bit difficult but it is worth it for the view of the sunset over the treetops. Andres and Saul were very kind, they picked us up in Akumal because we were left stranded due to a problem with the car (necessary to get to Ikalar, no buses or Uber), and the next day they gave us a lift to the cenote dos ojos. They also prepared an exquisite dinner and breakfast. You can immediately feel that there is passion behind the construction of this place, and we had proof of this by chatting with Andres in the evening. Highly recommended for those who want a romantic place, immersed in nature, isolated and full of jungle sounds. Of course, you have to consider the nighttime noises of the animals and the generator, which to ensure the fan (essential in the humid months) must be turned on all night. Thanks again to all the staff for their kindness, cordiality, affability, we will stay in touch!

Ikalar is a place that connects you not only with nature, but with dreams, with spirituality and with people. It is a place full of meaningful details, food made with love, always accompanied by a good chat with the host. This magical place invites introspection and contemplation; if you go up to the viewing point you can see the sunset with a unique view. You can go for a bike ride, although it is difficult to leave once you are there. At night, watching an open-air cinema is a wonderful experience.

Ikalar is a magical place. Its surreal architecture and the jungle environment of the Riviera Maya take you to a state of symbiosis with nature that I had never experienced before in my life. Lalo, the host, made our stay extremely pleasant. His cocktails are excellent and his hot cakes are the best. I will definitely return.

Woooow. This was a bizarre and unforgettable experience. The tree house was beautiful and above all; Eduardo the chef could cook so deliciously. In all of Mexico I have not eaten as deliciously as there. The breakfast and dinner with YouTube videos from a beamer. It was truly magical. This place is highly recommended!
