Stayed here for a week in January with Crystal Ski. Had one of the superior rooms on the top floor - loads of storage, lovely and warm, heated floor in bathroom and balcony overlooking the main square. Only niggle was the hairdryer - one setting which was very hot. Breakfast was great, 5 course evening meal consisting of starter, soup, salad bar, choice of 3 main courses (selected at breakfast) and dessert. Water available with evening meal but be aware there is a charge for this which is common in many hotels in Austria. Cosy stube area for drinks. All the staff we dealt with were lovely & friendly, from bar staff to cleaners. Hotel was immaculately clean, great spa area in basement too with sauna & infrared cabin (towels available). Didn't use the boot room, stored skis at the Erdinger sport shop next to main gondola - we enjoyed the walk there & back every day (about 15 minutes but last bit is uphill) instead of getting the ski bus (one stop directly opposite the hotel and another around the corner). Enjoyed our stay so much we've already booked to stay there again next January - hopefully get more of the ski area (which was great!) covered. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable & we look forward to staying again next year 🙂

My wife and I stayed for a week in June 2024 and had an exceptional time at this Hotel. The staff were polite, pleasant and courteous. The Hotel and our excellent spacious room were spotlessly clean. We were half board and the quality and standard of the evening meals was very good and enjoyable. It was a pleasure to be served by charming attentive lady who went out of her way to look after us. The only small downside was on the morning of our departure we had to be at our designated pickup point at 0750 hrs which was before breakfast started. There was no provision for an early breakfast which was inconvenient. Had we been informed we could have made our own arrangements. On the last day we had intended on leaving a tip for the breakfast staff but this was impossible as the breakfast room was still locked and there was no one at reception at the time we had to depart.

We stayed here through Crystal. The hotel is in a good location. The room sizes are good but the decor and bathrooms are pretty dated. Breakfast is adequate but nothing special. The dinners in the hotel (HB option) were generally good. Drink prices were reasonable but you were charged for a jug of water (badged as spring water...). Staff were friendly but the reception was never open, so it was difficult to find anyone if you needed anything or had any questions. All in all, not bad, but could be much better with some investment in the rooms and better breakfasts.

Very disappointed with staying here for the first time. The customer service from the female manager and the staff in the dinner service for half board is atrocious to say the least. Everything is a hassle to them. I asked if my 22 month old could have something different to what was stated one particular night ( as most food that was served for adults was the same for the kids!! ) as it was linguine Turkey pasta and she said no and so I said well she won’t eat it and she said there’s a salad bar ( few lettuce leaves and cucumbers in a bowl ) or soup. SOUP she’s 22 months old I’ll let you try and give her soup!!!! Anyway In the end we managed to get chips out of her and that’s it. We had the same conversation a few days later as I and my partner don’t like salmon which was for the starter ( no other options it’s what you get basically ) which turned into an argument as she wouldn’t allow me to have anything different but in the end she finally backed down and said I don’t know what you’ll get but I’ll speak to the chef ( the owners husband may I add ) . Another particular morning I asked her if the cleaners had changed the bedding or just made the bed as my little girl was sick in the morning ( milk so smells ) and again unhelpful with her snappy remarks of ‘ I don’t know I’m not the cleaner you’ll have to wait and ask’ so I said thank you for being so helpful and walked away. Nobody is on reception at anytime so for an instance when we needed a taxi ordering we had to ask the waitress in the main restaurant who just gave us a card to ring ourselves. After speaking to numerous guests in the hotel of different ages, they all agreed with what I said and to sum it up all said the same of everything’s a hassle and the food is rubbish with no choice. The only positive I can say is the rooms are lovely, we had a suite on the top floor and I cannot fault it at all. Modern, and nice ( just needs new pillows ) cleaned to some extent everyday. Will I return - Not a chance

I rarely do a poor review, but this place, or rather our waitress, deserves one! We have been visiting Soll for years, and Hotel Feldwebel is amongst our favourite places to go for traditional Tirolian food. In particular we love the trout and almonds; also the Kaiserschmarrn. Tonight, was entirely different. Right from our arrival the waitress was offhand with us, god knows why, but getting her attention at each stage was difficult and whilst the food was ok (nowhere near as good or the size of previous year) her attitude was dire. At the end of the meal, I asked for the bill from another waitress passing us, but was told that we had to speak with ‘our’ waitress. I grabbed her attention a few minutes later, indicating that I wanted to pay by card, and she came over; again with a bit of an attitude. I had no intention – a first for me – of not leaving a tip, but when she told me the total amount I went to pay…. At this point she said loudly ‘Don’t you want to leave a tip’. I replied ‘no’. She asked why, to which I replied because the service was slow… I should have added poor too, but as we left, in front of the other dining customers, she shouted that we should have gone to a fast-food restaurant. Unbelievable. We will not return clear.

We've visited Soll a few times and eaten here twice before. Never again it seems. A random accident where their wine list knocked a tea light bowl that sprayed hot wax across said list and onto my hand. The manager was called who then told me the list was worth 150euro. I apologised and asked if they wanted me to pay for it. The reply was no. They continued to chastise me then disappeared. They returned and asked me and my family to "find another restaurant".

We stayed at Feldwebel for a week with our children in two separate rooms and we are very satisfied. The rooms are spacious, the staff very nice and very good food. I am gluten intolerant and there was no problem with getting gluten free diet. The wish from our side is to have a small fridge in the rooms to be able to have snacks/drinks - extra important when staying for a longer period and having children with you. Also, we had a bad smell in our room during our entire stay (only in 1 of our 2 rooms) which we mentioned for the staff. We love Söll and can absolutely recommend Feldwebel. Ewa and Magnus
