I had a reservation for two rooms. When we arrived there was only one room available and the owner wanted to put all five of us in one large room with one bathroom, for the same price. He finally said we could get 15% off on food to make up the difference. This was just not acceptable. The rooms were prepaid and he refused to give us our money back. Fortunately, we booked through a third party and they intervened and we finally received a refund. If you have a reservation here it means nothing. Avoid this place at all costs.

The hotel did not live up to what we had booked, and we got the impression that they deliberately try to cheat and extract extra money from the guests. We had booked a room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) with a double bed and a sofa bed. When we arrived, we were given a room for 2 people, with two extra beds that barely fit in the room and were much too small for our children. After a long discussion with the hotel owner, we got the room we had booked (and paid for!!). The playground was one of the reasons we chose the hotel, but we did not expect it to cost 50 euros per day - it is not worth it! This was not disclosed at the time of booking. Additionally, everything from Wi-Fi to bicycle parking and using the refrigerator costs extra money - things you otherwise expect to be included. We cannot recommend the hotel in any way.

I would not recommend this hotel. You have to pay extra for everything. You have to pay to go to the playground, using the wellness area, wifi. The breakfast is very expensive - 29 for adults and 18 Euros for children. We were not happy with this hotel

The first snowflakes transformed the area around the Hotel Berghof into a winter fairytale. The rooms were warm and cozy, ideal for the cold season. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The wellness area was a highlight, especially after long walks in the fresh air. A wonderful place to welcome winter!

Arriving at the hotel, we were told that the room was not ready yet. We could go and eat something and then come back. When we returned, it became clear that there was no room available for us. And whether we could go to the village for a night (we didn't have to pay anything extra for that, they said) and come back the next day for the most beautiful room they have (Which was unbelievable, considering the fact that 6 families had already been sent to another hotel). The boss/manager didn't look at us anymore. Let an employee solve "the problem" but that he himself was outside partying with the other guests. We were treated in a cold and unfriendly way, it was pretended that it was great that they had arranged another hotel in the village and that we didn't have to pay extra for that. Our stay at the Hotel Berghof was a dream. The children loved the large playground and the daily activities, while we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the fantastic mountain views.
