Beautiful hotel on the riverside of midtown Solothurn. We arrived on Sunday, so the counter wasn't staffed. I was emailed beforehand about the self check-in system, where you got a code and receive the keys to your room from an automated box. The hotel itself is situated in an historical building and the new and the old are well merged together. Our room was at the second story, so we had to climb a wooden staircase (which wasn't a problem for us). The room itself was nice and cozy, though the glass sliding doors of the bathroom, didn't close till the end. Maybe as a prevention to wetness and mold. The hotel had a wonderful breakfast hall, which served a simple but sufficient food. In the evening, a fridge full of beers, was open for the free use of the guests and a really nice private yard, viewing the riverside was available till the late nighttime. The staff is very nice and helpful. Our stay was perfect.

My room had view on the river, which is great. But without AC the room is very hot on the top floor. No fan in the room or balcony to get some airflow going. Service was kind and helpful. The breakfast is simple but okay.

The room was nice, well equipped and clean. However, access to the hotel is difficult by car. The only problem is the smoking area in the hotel. To access the rooms there is a smoking area, as well as to access the breakfast. The smell of cigarettes rises upstairs. Not very nice.

Im denkmalgeschützten Haus gibt es wunderbar zeitgenössisch eingerichtete Zimmer. Der Blick auf die Stadt und die Aare lassen einen zur Ruhe kommen. Bei schönem Wetter lädt die Terrasse mit Bäumen zum verteilen ein. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig.

Standort perfekt für Wanderungen und Velotouren. Die Zimmer sind sauber, die Grösse gerade richtig, Blick auf die Aare und Altstadt. Tolles Frühstücksbuffet, der Preis stimmt! Mit jedem Tag kostet es weniger. Wir vermissen die Velogarage und den Lift in den 2 Stock.

Ein wohltuendes Wochenende mit der Enkelin hat ihren Höhepunkt in der Übernachtung in diesem Hotel gefunden. Sehr freundliches Personal überaus angenehmer, unkomplizierter Kontakt im voraus per Mail, einfaches Check-in. Beim Check-out wurde der 10-jährigen Enkelin viel Aufmerksamkeit und Zeit in einem Gespräch geschenkt, was wir beide sehr zu schätzen wissen! Die Zimmer sind schön, sauber und zum wohlfühlen, modern renoviert, wobei der alte Charme erhalten blieb! Lage des Hotels ebenfalls super, tolle Aussicht auf die Aare, wenige Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt in wenigen Minuten in der Altstadt.
