The place was immaculate.. the cleaniness and beauty of the garden was unmatched. The room: Very comfortable (especially the bed was super comfy), clean, spacious, with good amenities. Breakfast was very detailed, fine & enjoyable. Location was perfect, we played golf at De Zalze, and visted some Stelenbosch wineries at very close distances. Service was perfect at this guest house. Richard was very helpful and resourceful for recommendations around the area . Highly recommend this place .

From the moment we arrived until the morning we left it was a fantastic experience. Warm welkom every day at the breakfast table, Always helpful with restaurant and rental car reservations. Very well located to discover the hole Cape area.

Cape Vermeer is the best guesthouse we have visited so far in the Cape. The rooms are very neat and spacious. The breakfast is out of range with every day a special egg suggestion. The host Richard and his entire staff are very friendly and so helpfull. Don’t look any further, just book Cape Vermeer! Peter An Marie R from Belgium.

Stayed at this no.1 Guesthouse in Somerset-West already a couple of times before. From the very 1st warm welcome by Richard we had an amazing time and stay. This time in the “Cape Vermeer suite”. In one word: WOW! What an amazing apartment/room with everything in it you are looking for. Very luxury equipped and large room with a lovely bed, a separate large bathroom with both shower and bath. A private balcony overlooking both Strand and the Hottentot-mountains. Very nice colors used like in the other rooms of this Guesthouse. Love your Lemon Verbena products from Healing Earth, such a fresh smell. It was the TOP location of our holidays in the Cape-region. We loved the breakfast with the short daily printed info (photo) with it. You deserve definitely your 5-star rating. Thank you Richard & Bart for again a wonderful stay at yours. Also to your very friendly staff. Patience is so proud of her Vermeer-meisje” broche Hope to stay at your beautiful Guesthouse again in the future.

A truly outstanding experience... with the highest attention to detail. Richard and his team were an absolute delight and made our stay a most memorable one. The rooms and gardens are exquisite... the breakfast baskets scrumptious... we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to South Africa. A++

Cape Vermeer is an absolute must-visit! The location is stunning, with a luxurious feel and a stylish, spacious room offering a breathtaking view. The pool is delightful, and the breakfast is truly fantastic. All of this is complemented by the warm hospitality of the friendly owner, Richard, and his team, who ensure a welcoming atmosphere and an exceptional experience. We will definitely be coming back!

This is our second time staying here. Being a German, everything must be "perfect" and "correct". But I couldn't find anything to fault at Richards place. It's just "perfect"! Very attentive and welcoming, from check-in, to during your stay and when you depart. Rooms are extremely Top Class. Breakfast is really amazing too! All of this makes it an amazing stay, literally makes you feel like you're VIP! Will be going again and again...

We spent three weeks in Cape Vermeer and can really recommend this guesthouse. The apartments are equipped to a very high standard and the hospitality of Richard and his team is outstanding. The location of Cape Vermeer and the view of False Bay are unique. We will come back.
