We stayed there for two weeks, and it was just great. We highly recommend SW1 Lodge as the facility is clean, beautiful and well maintained, and overall the staff is super friendly, helpful and caretaking. We felt welcome and relaxed. Comfortable beds, delicious breakfast.

My husband and I recently got married and we were doing a mini honeymoon in Cape Town. We booked this hotel but unfortunately had a death in his immediate family and we had to urgently come back to London which meant we could not stay at the hotel. We were staying at another hotel at the time and they were so gracious and compassionate but I certainly cannot say the same about SW1 Lodge. We explained the situation and were told that they would call us back once they had spoken to management- of course this did not happen and given that we had booked through *******, we escalated it to them. ******* spoke to the hotel and their feedback to us was that the hotel said they would not refund us - ******* told us that they were unhappy with the response from the hotel and were going to escalate it on their side as this is a situation that we could not control and having some compassion to such a situation is what was expected from them too. We had stayed at another hotel (Atlantic View in Camps Bay) which we also had to cut short and they were incredibly kind and refunded the remainder of the stay due to the circumstances but SW1 Lodge did not and this is just unacceptable - I know a lot of people who go to Somerset West and I absolutely would never recommended such a place to anyone given the situation.

Zuvorkommendes Personal. Hervorragender Service. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Super Lage. Sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll. Wir durften 17 Tage und Nächte im wunderbaren Ambiente der SW1 Lodge verbringen. Schon beim ersten Augenblick der Begrüssung, fühlte es sich an, als gehöre man zu dieser kleinen Familie. Jeder Mitarbeitende wurde uns persönlich vorgestellt. Unser Zimmer "Thandi" war sehr gross und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Nach einem Ausflug oder einer Runde Golf konnten wir im wunderschönen Garten am Pool die Seele baumeln lassen. Das Frühstück liess keine Wünsche offen und wurde immer frisch zubereitet. Ein ganz grosses Dankeschön geht an Tonde und Kaesha. Beide waren so herzlich und zuvorkommend. Sie haben uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen und einen wesentlichen Teil dazu beigetragen, dass unser Aufenthalt unvergesslich bleibt. Wir können die SW1 Lodge nur empfehlen und werden wiederkommen.

Perfekt für den Start in das Südafrika Abenteuer! Das Guesthouse liegt perfekt, um Capetown, die Küste und die wunderschönen Weingüter zu besichtigen. Die Gastgeber sind einfach nur toll und haben uns viele hilfreiche Empfehlungen gegeben. Wir hatten sehr interessante Gespräche und bekamen einen Eindruck wie es ist, wenn man sich in Südafrika niederlässt. Vielen Dank dafür! Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und großzügig und die ganze Anlage ist äußerst gepflegt! Wir freuen uns schon auf ein Wiedersehen!

Katherine und Moritz sind sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Wir haben uns gut betreut gefühlt. Gewohnt haben wir in der TsalaTsala Suite, die einen schönen Blick vom Balkon über das Meer im Hintergrund bietet. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück, bei dem kein Wunsch offen bleibt. Gute Lage, als Ausgangspunkt nach Somerset, Stellenbosch, Hermanus und Kapstadt gut geeignet. Wir kommen in jedem Fall wieder!

Seit 10 Jahren bereisen wir SA und kennen viele Guesthouses. Die SW1 Lodge setzt für uns einen neuen Standard. Wir waren 6 Nächte dort und fühlten uns wie zu Hause (oder besser…). Moritz und Katherin haben sich mit ihren Mitarbeitern immer sehr persönlich um alle Gäste gekümmert, jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Das Haus ist super gepflegt, die Zimmer auf top-Standard. Wir haben in der Thandi Suite gewohnt, die sehr geräumig war und zum Relaxen einen schönen Balkon hat. Besonders nett ist die Bar, an der man sich am Abend zum Absacker trifft. Hier ergibt sicch häufig eine fröhliche Geselligkeit. Wir haben jetzt schon wieder für das nächste Jahr gebucht: in 2023 bleiben wir 7 Nächte! Wir freuen uns schon….
