Funny Monkeys Homestay

A pure vacation feeling! That is how I would best describe our stay at Funny Monkey's Homestay. The three women running the place did an excellent job and provided us a service worthy of a luxury hotel! The view from the terrace was absolutely fantastic and we spent much time drinking delicious homemade coffee and eating local food. Other amenities on site include kayaks for going out on the river and transfers to the centre of the city. We could also without a problem leave our bags there after check out. Would definitely recommend this homestay for people who want to enjoy some quiet time next to the river!

This is hands down, the best place I've stayed in Vietnam. I've been motorcycling around for a couple weeks and landed here for a couple days. It was incredible. First and foremost, the hot water is hot and long lasting. The place is impeccably clean and the food is good. Its located right on the water, with great views. But that's not the best part. The best part was the staff. The family was incredible. Not only were they attentive and helpful, but they treated me like family. They gave me great insight into vietnemese culture and lifestyles. I got to speak to them and bridge a culture in a way that I have usually been able to. Its not only their good english, but their hearts. They are not pushy, and the prices are more than reasonable. They actually cared and were not just trying to operate a business extracting money. I sincerely dont know what I can say to recommend this place enough. If you dont stay here, you are doing yourself a disservice. They didnt try to sell me an outragous package deal and told me how to explore the caves solo. If I could spend another week here, I would have. I've travelled to a lot of countries, and significnatly within vietnam. This was one of the best experiences i've had in years, across continents. And it was truly the family and staff that made it special. Avail yourself of an opportunity to stay with them, and you will not regret it.

A fantastic funny stay at funny monkey! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The room was clean and modern. The staff were lovely (especially Lou Lou). She was so welcoming and greeted us each morning. She also spoke fantastic English and was able to provide us with lots of recommendations for Phong Nha and the rest of our Vietnam trip. I highly recommend staying here whilst in Phong Nha. The breakfast was also included in our cost of the hotel and they provided free bicycles and kayaks.

Kindest and most helpful staff! We loved our stay here, rooms were spacious and clean with a lovely balcony. The restaurant was brilliant we had 2 evening meals and 2 breakfasts here which were excellent. I would love to come back in summer to access the kayaks and bicycles!

This was the highlight of my trip. I loved Moon!! (My host) & all the other beautiful ladies l, they were so welcoming & helpful! They went above & beyond in their hospitality. the town had a power outage & the staff invited me to sit with them to be included in the fanning 🪭 how sweet! Moon passed me walking & gave me a ride on her scooter. They offered me a Kayak & a shower & towel after I had checked out waiting for my bus to arrive to depart. The restaurant has amazing vegan food, & the place has great air conditioning which was great this time of year! they gave clear instructions for the hot water & booked my tours & bus’ for me, they even came on scooter to pick me up! & helped with my bags. They make you feel like home & so welcome! Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️

We have yet to make there(going in august.)if the communication we are having now are signs of how our stay will be we are in for a treat. I asked funny monkeys and the other places we will be staying and funny monkeys are the only ones responded.plus they are scheduling a massage after our 2day 1 night cave trek. Can't wait
