Taoye Guesthouse

It should be the largest homestay in Songzhuang Village, with a very professional team. Every housekeeper has a good sense of service, and is responsive and considerate. The rooms are located in various corners of the village. Some require climbing a slope. My room type requires climbing a lot of stairs. It is suitable for young people, people with mobility impairments or those with children. The Painting and Flower Shadow rooms are recommended. I have observed that there is no need to climb a slope near the front desk. Songzhuang Village is not big and can be visited in half an hour. Tourists mainly gather around the 600-year-old ancient bridge. The front desk of the B&B has a great view. Overall very satisfied!

Due to an extremely unpleasant experience, I decisively gave up the hotel I had checked into overnight and randomly chose this B&B. After confirming that there was a room available, I moved there immediately. It was almost late at night, the mountain road was rugged, and it was raining heavily, so we looked quite embarrassed when we arrived at the hotel. The enthusiasm of the hotel boys and girls instantly warmed our hearts, and we slept particularly soundly that night. Taoye B&B is a hotel with warmth and sentiment. The hardware facilities are not very outstanding, but it is full of the charm of Songyang mountain living. It is very close to the popular ancient bridge in Songzhuang. You can listen to the gurgling stream, the crowing of chickens and the buzzing of frogs, surrounded by lush green, make a pot of old fir and daffodils, read a book that has a beginning but no end, eat some fresh seasonal vegetables, relieve the accumulated fatigue, and be a comfortable person for a few days. What a wonderful life!

The room is comfortable and clean, the service is attentive and warm, and the B&B is quiet and suitable for vacation. The food at the B&B is very good, especially the chicken soup, great!

The B&B staff called me the day after I booked the room to confirm the specific itinerary. The housekeeper also set up a group chat to inform me of the weather in advance, make dinner reservations in advance, what clothes to bring and precautions. After arriving at the destination, the housekeeper went to the parking lot in advance to wait for the luggage to be carried and sent back to the room. After checking in at the front desk and taking a short rest, the luggage was also delivered to the room. The whole process was arranged very well. While we were waiting at the front desk, the lady told us some tips on preventing mosquitoes and gave us anti-mosquito spray. The young men and women at the front desk speak softly and give people a feeling of super emotional stability. We just stayed for one night and we were really satisfied. The design of the B&B is superb and the details are very well done. The hygiene is really 360 degrees, and every place is clean. At the door of the B&B is the Arch Bridge, an internet celebrity check-in attraction, and a stream that runs through the entire village. I almost forgot to mention that both breakfast and dinner are delicious, especially rich, and the presentation is very ritualistic. The ancient village is worth visiting, and Taoye B&B is worth staying in. If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city, then come to the ancient village to stay in Taoye and experience this paradise.

The service was very good. They reminded us of many things before we checked in, including the weather changes and the need to bring thicker clothes. Someone picked up the luggage directly from the parking lot and put it in the room. When we checked out, they helped us deliver the luggage to the car. Because the rooms of the B&B are scattered in the village, the housekeeper helped us check in and took us to the room. Along the way, they reminded us to be careful when going up and down the stairs because we are old. They also prepared two hiking poles. At night, they were worried that the street lights were not bright and we could not see the road clearly, so they lent us flashlights. There were small mosquitoes in the mountain village, so they specially prepared mosquito repellent. These little things made us feel extra warm. The check-in location is excellent, not far from the stone bridge, which is a good shooting point. The facilities in the room are also great and comfortable. The breakfast is also good and tastes good.

Quiet ancient village, perfect homestay, rare experience. After dinner, we like to read in the upstairs book room (as shown in the picture), with the homestay's Dragon Boat Festival tea, very relaxing and comfortable. The owner and the housekeeper's attentiveness can be seen everywhere. We will come again next time. it’s an amazing trip. Highly recommended!
